My childish self fled to the treehouse known as home, Max in fast pursuit behind me. With each step, cries of misery far behind me would seep deeper into my eardrums. Oh, how my heart cried and ached for him.
Some time later when the sun seized to shine and the clouds released their tears of pity for my sorrow, I had finally reached that metaphorical doorstep: the ladder.
One last glance behind myself- one last peek at the features of his face that forced my love to dive deeper than a well- and I was gone. Up the ladder, into the treehouse. I clung to each rung of the wooden entryway as if it were the only substance capable of keeping me steady in the winds of this miserable storm. More cries of agony and louder footsteps approaching pushed my mind back into reality. I needed to be faster in my escape.
𝘐𝘧 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘐 𝘳𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘴 𝘐 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘯 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦 - I thought.
I began packing all I could grab within seconds, such as hygiene necessities, mismatching articles of clothing distributed messily around the room, and other trinkets of value I might carry along easily.
All these contents stuffed into a large backpack, I grabbed my pillow off the sofa along with my favorite blue and white stuffed animal he had given me one birthday. Reaching underneath the musty piece of furniture in hopes of grabbing the blankets stored behind it, I kept my mind trained on the task. Not thinking about Max, and managing to forget about the stashed pound of heroine the blankets covered all together because I was so centered on getting my short limb to reach far enough under the sofa to grab the highly essential blankets in this Cambridge sweater weather. My heart sank and drew my mind back to reality once I heard the rungs of the ladder squeak with pressure.
No doubt had it been Max climbing in attempt to slow the impediment of my departure. Either stop me or apologize for being a 𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘬.
Honestly, I had hoped neither would be the case. In the back of my mind, where my love for him burrowed deep within me, I knew I would render all escaping useless if he apologized. [m.i.c.]
Y/n: is everything she told me what she told you or is there more that she's lying about... Max: no I think that's it to be honest *the next day*
You spent the rest of the day with everyone. Your head was spinning you had no idea what to think, what to do or say. You just avoided talking about it all day. Once you woke up, you got ready and went down stairs. You felt so much better after a sleep. You cleared your head and walked out your frount door feeling confident. Until you got to school that went out the window.
Joe: hey y/n I just wanna say I'm so sorry about what happened with Rachel
Y/n: huh how do you know..
Joe: oh did you not know she's been telling everyone
Joe: woah you all didn't know
Max: you ok y/n
Y/n: no I'm fuming
Max came over and gave you a kiss
Max: don't worry about it ok, your strong, you will be fine. You have me, Alex and harvey anyway so it's ok
Y/n: ok I love you
Max: I love you 2
Harvey: so are we *puts his arm around Alex*
Just then all your friends ran up to you screaming.

One cold, winter morning, Y/n, a 15 yrs old girl was walking to school alone. She was used to getting bullied in school and many people have hurt her including someone in her family. She used to have very loyal friends named Harvey and Max until they fell into the wrong crowd. The popular group. Since then nobody has hung out with her or even talk to her. She felt invisible that she fell into a deep, dark depression.
Y/n POV * BOOM* I was walking down the halls of the school until the students and I heard a big crash. They all quickly ran to the scene, me left behind, and saw the most horrifying thing that will ever happen in my life. We all saw Harvey ' s body, covered in blood, lying on the middle of the road. I then saw to my left a man with a black outfit driving very fast from the body. It's like he hit him. I got closer to it and saw all the bruise and scratches the car crash did. As tears fell out of my eye, someone pulled me out of the circle of students. I turned around and saw Harvey ' s twin brother, Max. He had tears quickly running out of his eyes onto the top of his hoodie. He quickly fell into my shoulders, hugged me tight, and cried. I slowly pat his back waiting for him to calm down. "It's gonna be ok Max. He's a strong boy." , I whispered to his ear making him a tiny bit relax. "I know. It's just that you're the only that would understand these situations." , he said, tears leaving from his eyes while he pulled away from the hug.
Harvey ' s POV
I was walking down the road to go home when a very bright light shined across my face making me blind. Just then I was unconscious on the middle of the road, blood dripping out, bruises and scratches had covered my body and the only thing I could hear was gasps and a familiar cry from someone. I felt very weak, and it was very dangerous to touch me. I then heard sirens and saw a blue and red light flashing before I passed out. .
That's the end of chapter one. Hope you like it😁!
There was something about this boy, Max. He had this certain aura, I dunno, he was the ‘isolated’ kid and people always made fun of him, yet, he never seemed upset or bothered by it.
Max was my new desk partner in class. I tried talking to him but it was no use. ‘Hey! You're Max right?’ He just nodded and didn’t even look at me. ‘I’m y/n, your new desk partner’. He nodded again.
A few seconds later, a boy came up to our desk, Damon. ‘Ay, Max, mate!’
Max looked up at him. His sparkling hazel eyes left me in awe. ‘Got us any money today? We can’t wait till lunch! You know what’ll happen if you don’t give it us.’
‘Damon, please leave me. I haven’t got any.’
‘Well you know what happens now.’
Before I could step into the conversation, Mrs Pauline entered the classroom.
‘Is anyone bothering you, Max?’ was her first question.
I guess she’d also heard about the bullying from the previous teacher.
He shook his head and everyone laughed. His head was lowered and it seemed as though he was crying. Seconds later I heard a sniff. Now I was sure he was crying.
‘Max, are you okay?’ I whispered.
He shook his head.
‘Wh-whats wrong?’ I stuttered. ‘Forget it.’
About a month later, I asked one of my friends about Max.
Max was one of the most bullied kids in the grade. He was an easy victim. People would steal his lunch money, get him to do their homework and many other horrible things.
‘That’s terrible!’, I exclaimed.
‘I know, just—just don’t take his side or you’ll be one of the bullied kids. That’s how it works around here’, she explained.
The next day as I was leaving for break, I hear some sniffles from the back of the class—from where I sit.
‘Leave me alone, Y/n.’
This was the first time he’d ever actually spoken to me even though we’d been sitting together for over a month.
I walk over to our desk, and sit next to him.
I put one hand on his shoulder and ask him what’s wrong.
Of course, no reply.
‘They took your money, didn’t they?’
He looks up at me with red eyes, and a puffed up face and gives a slight nod.
‘It’s alright, you can have some of my lunch, my mum usually packs me a sandwich and an apple, take your pick’
