Who do you think are the worst monster on the planet?
Humans or Sharks?

This is what the Amazon rainforest used to look like back in her 'days of glory'. And then, you can see how she is now.
These are our lungs.
Our fresh air.
Our chance to get through climate chance.
Our chance to make things better.
And it's burning.
And no one talks about this.
If you want to help, go see the post I shared in my stories. There are PRACTICAL EXAMPLES ON HOW WE CAN HELP.
You're not doing this for me.
You're doing this for your home. For your family. For your kids. For your future ones too. For all the people who'll come.
I think it’s because my mind never stops. And yes, it’s true, I have come leaps and bounds in my mental health recovery, so much so that I don’t recognise myself at times.
But it’s important to note, and equally, share, that this road to recovery I'm travelling is a journey, and there are many cracks in the tarmac, sudden blind bends, and we all find certain sections of the road more difficult to navigate; depending perhaps on the weather that day, or the condition of our vehicle... Everyone has difficult days.
On the days when I’m not busy, those days are difficult.
Equally, the days that I’m TOO busy are difficult too; the days I’m unable to stop, process, catch a mental breath.
It’s on those days I realise my brain is just fickle, and doesn’t know what it wants or needs any more than I do.
Today, though. Today I stopped. I walked around my favourite lake, used my coastal sixth senses to find a beach, and breathed in and out with the waves. The air didn’t have that familiar smell of salt that I am used to, now, didn’t quite stick to my skin and hair in a covering which I’ve accepted is just as much a part of me as my clothing. But it was a strong gale, blew the cobwebs away, roared around my ears so loudly that I couldn’t listen to my thoughts anymore.
It wasn’t quite an ocean, but it drowned out the noise regardless.
I used to be so filled with fire, so made of it. I’d burn whoever ended up in my path, whoever happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time as the wildfire sparked, then ignited. But as I grow up, grow older (never wiser), I realise I’ve become water. There’s no other way I can explain what my soul feels, how it feels, when I’m near to it, so utterly rested in the knowledge that I am perfectly understood, in perfectly matched company.
Do not think for a second, however, that this means I have lost my strength.

I keep reading/seeing posts about people exploring mars in order to potentially live. .
Why are people so fascinated with exploring other planets while our own home is being destroyed ??? 🌍💣
There is not enough resources on earth for every human to even make it off the planet 🚀!!!!
Especially at this rate of destruction 💣
So it is time ⏰ to wake up 😴
Time to start taking care of the planet we can truly claim as our own 😁
Do not support corporation that cares more about profit 💰 than our own home 🌍
😴 stop 🛑 supporting corrupt plastic, paper and styrofoam industries

Posted @withrepost • @we_saveplanetearth 9 products that contain plastic.
🔳🔲Chewing Gums: Several companies now make biodegradable chewing gum that's free from synthetic polymers, healthier for both humans and Earth. Conventional gum often contains petroleum, lanolin, glycerin, polyethylene, polyvinyl acetate, and latex.
➿Tampons: A healthier, zero waste alternative? Menstrual cups! They last up to 10 years, are toxin- and leak-free, are made from medical silicone, and don’t produce any waste.
☀️Sunscreen: There could be up to 100 billion plastic particles in one product of sunscreen. It is the very smallest particles that are potentially the most dangerous because they can be absorbed into the food chain easily. Go for certified organic sunscreens.
💨Toothpaste: The plastic substance used in cosmetic products is mostly polyethylene – also used to produce plastic bags and grocery packaging. Choose products free from microplastic particles.
👗👒👚Clothes: Polyester is the worst fabric you can buy. It is made from synthetic polymers that are made from esters of dihydric alcohol and terpthalic acid. Acrylic fabrics are polycrylonitriles and may cause cancer. Go for clothes made of Cotton, Tencel, Silk, Linen, Hemp, Wool and Cashmere.
⛾Teabags: About 96% of teabags are made with polypropylene, a synthetic resin, which is added during the sealing process. There are teabags made from soilon, which isn’t bleached and is biodegradable. Examples are Nemi Tea, Eteaket, Roqberry or Teapigs.
🚮👓🚽Contact lenses: Don’t flush them down the sink or toilet.
💅Nail polish: Look for nail polish that does not contain formaldehyde resin. An example is Kester Black.

The Icelandic sky, as seen by Tony Myatt, on our research vessel the Dardanella, in 2011.
Views like this are not the point of our voyages but always inspire help to remind us of the natural beauty worth saving.
The Amazon Rainforest continues to burn, spreading like a sheet of death across a forest that provides 20% of the world's oxygen. Bolsonaro claims this is the work of NGOs. First, Bolsonaro is evil, and he represents a layer of humankind which seems bent on destroying our precious planet through an insatiable lust for material wealth. Second, placing blame is of no use! What we need is to send resources which can be used to fight the fire, and to speak out against the super wealthy elite running our planet into oblivion with impunity! This fire will massively affect the progression of climate change and meanwhile, when you Google "Amazon" or "Amazon Fire" you get fresh news stories about Jeff Bezos and the Amazon Fire device. @google and @amazon@jeffbezos and all other powerful organisations and ALL of the world's leaders and influencers need to put ALL of their efforts and resources into fighting this catastrophic fire and climate change by spreading knowledge and eradicating ignorance! More importantly, we, the people of Earth need to make our voices heard, shout loud and FORCE that small group of super rich men and women in power to take responsibility, and to vow to use their limitless resources to make a real effort to reverse climate change and save our future! #earthoverignorance#climatechange#savetheplanet#saveplanetearth#amazon#amazonforestfire#amazonfire#environment#oceans#nature#saveouroceans#savetheearth#savetheplanet#bethechange

Cabo da Roca is located about half an hour from Sintra, Portugal and is the western most point of Europe. Europeans, back in the day, believed this spot was the end of the earth and once you're there you can't help but see why. The winds are intense and overpowering. I can't imagine what sailors felt when they got close, if ever, to this spot. .
There's no wonder the earth is 2/3 water. The sea calls to us. It can be mesmerizing to look out over a large sea, especially as you sail through it. It can make you feel like you don't have a worry in the world.
✖️ L’île de Groix, France
I am so humble because I grown up in a county where the sea and the sky meet each other. On L’Île de Groix, you can enjoy all the shades of blue your eyes couldn’t imagine. 😱😬😎
How could I stay when you lit a match to all my intentions?
Late at night you pour it out
Know that only brings you down
But go ahead give me all the blame
Twist my words and set them to flame

497 Days: 500 Million People = YOU
You are the answer to plant trees, making sure oceans are plastic free, recycling your garbage, planting fruits and vegetables and more. Even turning off your lights.
The #Imappivut Expedition’s first dives to study life on the seafloor were off the coast of Hebron, a former Inuit community and Moravian mission site.
In the summer months, Gus, along with many other former residents and their descendants, return to Hebron to spend time in their home.
