Words cannot express how necessary/overdue this trip to Ohio has been. A whirlwind adventure filled with family and as many friends as I was able to squeeze in. I love you all, my heart is so full. Until next time. #ohio#love#family#vacation#daytonstrong
Charlie needs a hospice home for his last few months! 🙏
Reposted from @susiesseniordogs (@get_regrann) - DAYTON, OH: This is a dire call for action! 9 year old Charlie is in congestive heart failure with an estimate of less than 6 months to live. He is currently in boarding which is extremely heartbreaking for his condition. Charlie's rescue has been desperately seeking a #foreverfoster home him; all of his meds and food will be fully covered for the remainder of his life. Financial care is the easy part, it's hospice care that Charlie needs most and it has been extremely hard to find. PLEASE SHARE! 🏥
American Lurcher Project wrote, "Charlie is a super sweet older boy who wants a soft couch and his own people. He is a #coonhound / #greyhound mix. He weighs about 64 pounds and is approximately 9 years old.
Charlie is in #congestiveheartfailure and is on Vetmedin, Lasix and Enalapril. The vet gives him 2 to 6 months, with three months being more likely. Charlie is currently boarding with our behavioral specialist. We sent him there for an evaluation to see how he did with other dogs. He is getting special attention, but we are not able to keep him there for more than a couple more weeks. Before that he was in an Indiana county shelter. And before that he was in a home for five months, but returned back to the Indiana shelter. Because of his heart condition, boarding is not an option and it would be very cruel to board him at this point
Charlie loves being with people and getting hugs, being outside, big fluffy blankets, and napping. His dream home would be a house with a fenced in yard with no cats or other dogs. He would prefer to be an only 'child.' He isn't dog aggressive and he has minimal reaction on leash at a distance and almost ignores dogs, but he becomes corrective and defensive of his space when dogs get within about five feet of him. He just wants to be with people.
Charlie is looking for a hospice home. Our group will pay for his meds and food if we can find someone to provide a loving #hospice home. Charlie is currently #Ohio . Because of his health, we don't want to transport him more than four to six hours from Ohio/Indiana area." [CONT'D]

I took this and then jumped in about 2 minutes later 😁 Instead of letting the stress of life consume us, we can insist on focusing on what is good and making experiences that leave a *living* impression on our souls. Not saying we should ignore life’s challenges. But we can’t grow through them if we view happiness as a destination because we will never “arrive”. It is a gift and a peace we are given from God in the midst of whatever we’re journeying through; The peace comes when we desire to grow soooo much, we are absolutely certain in our hearts we are exactly where we need to be - (our will aligns with His). Otherwise circular thoughts consume us, we can’t see beyond them..... and we stop believing moments where we J U M P . S P L A S H . C E L E B R A T E are even real. Note: They are real and we can choose them 💕 - #thoughtsbeforebed#awareness#love#changing#newheart#ohio#ohiogram#bestfriend#onfireforgod
You know when at a certain point in your life when your parents tell you to be realistic? Yea, I’m so thankful mine didn’t. They let me follow my dreams and embark on these crazy adventures that taught me so much more about myself, and my abilities than I could have ever imagined. And now I’m laying in my bed... in Paris. Getting ready to start my freshman year of college. All because they not only supported, but encouraged my crazy, wacky, and big ole’ dreams. Thank you to my build in best friends, who I also get to call Mom and Dad. I love you 💛🇫🇷🌎
