This Saturday we went for a nice long walk in the park and tried out our new running belt we bought from Smart Hounds Collars over at Etsy.
We started using a walking belt to keep our hands free for the clicker and treats and to not worry about Sophie accidentally running away if she freaks out 🤪 She's much calmer now than she was just a couple of months ago but you know things happen 🤷
It was just yesterday when we were walking alongside a building and there was a huge concrete mixer passing by. Sophie just LOST IT. If it wasn't for the belt she'd rip the leash out of my hand and off she went 😫
When your #mum has chores to do and you have to go! This is how Guess obviously feels about it! .
I believe it is vitally important for our #furchildren to experience new situations in a #safe and #respectable manner. I talk about being an #advocate for your #dog and to me this means asking strangers to respect boundaries, to respect your #training and to listen to your requests. Don't be quiet just because you are worried about their response, your fur kid is relying on you to give them the best possible chance when out in public and trying new things. .
COOLING OFF 💦
Phew! Too hot for dog photography today. Too hot for dog walking also, so my greyhound Brammy will go out at dusk.
Here’s lovely Freddie cooling his paws at Bolton Abbey recently. Wouldn’t your dog love to be paddling right now? I sooooo would! 😆

I don't mean to brag but I be like, "Put it in the bag." When you see them racks they stacked up like my ass.
Interesting little landmark on our morning walk in the forest. A Victorian sign marking the enclosure and detailing its history. Fascinating stuff on a not very used path. #newforest#walking#morningair#outwithmydog
I think all dog owners love these friendly little way markers. There’s nothing quite like the English countryside is there and discovering new paths across the fields and forest. And a little sign that says it’s ok to cross!
They do make me happy when I’m working and I always want to photograph them, because they’re all a little different. Ok, I’m a geek!!

Is there anything more relaxing than being by the sea and hearing the waves 😍
This sunlit picture was made during our walk just before sunset. If you look closer you can see fluff that fell from the trees on Sophie's tongue and right ear 😄 I don't even know the name of this "shedding" tree in Russian, let alone English.
The sight of this fluff falling down in the light of the setting sun was truly spectacular ✨
