Iceland is Out of this World 🌍 ... Humanity has come a long way! We’re currently working on a mission to Mars, lead by the fascinating Elon Musk.
Personally, I haven’t yet explored enough of this planet to feel the urge to explore another. I guess once I’ve explored most of this planet then maybe I would. 🤷♀️ If you had the opportunity would you be the first man or woman to land on Mars?
Baia mare - city of gold - is the capital of Maramures County, that was founded in 1329 and developed as a major mining center of Romania where gold, silver, and other nonferrous metals where extracted. ⚒⛑👑💎
Lying at the foot of the Gutai Mountains, Baia Mare does not look attractive at first sight, but behind those bleak socialist buildings, hides an amazing medieval Old Town - pearl of the city. ⛲️🏰
The city has magnificent landscape of mountains and rolling hills. It is a perfect starting point to explore historical Maramures region and experience culture of miners. 🏔🏡 To know more about this charming city check out our blog! Link in BIO.
Three Bridges Restaurant is nestled right on the Olifants River, where wildlife roams nearby. This rustic restaurant and pub welcomes everyone, from bikers to local and international visitors and their families. Enjoy drinks overlooking the river while kids can enjoy the jungle gym and pool!
It almost did not happen as the guy that we booked with (over a flimsy phone agreement) cancelled on us the day before we were supposed to pick up the car. It was only after a frantic search that we found this 4X4.
If you plan to independently visit Kazakhstan, you have to know that it is not currently built for tourism the way that we are used to. Which is great because you really get to travel like a local unless you join a package tour. But not so great if you like things planned ahead (ahem. me.) A lot of the bookings that we did were done by picking up the phone and speaking to them in Russian or turning up at the door hoping they have a room for us.
So yes, have a little blind faith and google translate handy!
Here's the lasted video 📽 from #travelandtash . I post to YouTube every Thursday KST. I'd love to hear what comes to your mind 💭 when you go shopping. Drop it in the comments below ⤵ Much love, Tasha 🌸

Fantastic views from the cliff walk viewing platform at Grindelwald on Friday. To get there, you are supposed to take the vertiginous metal walkway round, and sometimes under, a huge rock face, and over a suspended metal bridge, so that's what Annie, Orla and me did (photos to follow). Garry and Isaac didn't fancy the cliff walk, so Garry snuck in for the final part — this suspended platform 45 metres out into the void. The views are amazing, and stepping out onto the end of the platform does feel like stepping into a void, but as with many things that day, we were mostly entertained by the endless photography and selfie shenanigans of everyone else queueing up for their mountain photo opp. We really need to work on our photo poses!! We seem to have stumbled upon a European alpine adventure parc, with go-carts, a huge flying eagle you strap onto, alpine scooters (or trottibikes), a zip wire and this — the cliff walk and platform. Our J for Jungfrau trip happened by accident – we knew we wanted a bit of lakes and mountains, selected Lake Brienz for our first stop, and added 3 nights into a hotel in Grindelwald as Garry's 50th birthday treat. We had no idea how popular it would be with coach-loads of international travellers seemingly having chosen Grindelwald as their Alps bucket list choice. There is loads to do here at Grindelwald First, it's all very accessible and it's brilliantly organised. It's also a perfect place to stay for a trip up to the Jungfraujoch, or top of Europe (more on this to come). We have loved our 3 nights in Grindelwald BUT, as always, we could probably have done with a bit more planning and prep in terms of logistics and ways to save some the cash. (In short: do things in the mornings, buy a Swiss rail card if possible, go for the saver passes and only take children under 16 ... absolutely none of which we managed to do that day).

FREEDOM to me is doing what I want, when I want, and where I want. Is that selfish of me? Not at all. It's my life, and we only have one chance to do it right.
Do you have a plan on how you're going to achieve your freedom? If not, click the link in my bio and let's see if I can help you achieve that clarity.
