Day 4/10 of the roller derby challenge. Every day I select an image from a day in the life of roller derby that has had an impact on me, or been a memorable moment and post it without a single explanation.
I’m not going to nominate anyone, but definitely jump in of you wanna and take a memory lane stroll. 📷 - Sk8 Outta Compton
Our returning athletes may recognize the location. Site of tomorrow’s practice. The first XC meet of the year is just two weeks away. Let’s make each practice count! #practice#crosscountryrunning#makeitcount
Finally I have got to my target weight this week set by myself in April and decided to do the same with my hair by taking some weight out of the hair too. Bit weird with 3 inches off.
Anyway took some pictures to celebrate and set myself my final fat/weight loss goals which will take me to November.
🇫🇷 Quelle tristesse, je voudrais ouvrir une petite parenthèse sur ce fait d'actualité qui ne fait pas vraiment les unes des infos 😢
Que pensez-vous de ce qui se passe en ce moment en Amazonie? 🇬🇧 How sad, I'd like to open a little aside on this news that medias do not really care 😢
What do you think of what is happening now in the Amazonia?
Most of the day yesterday I sat. The ICU was quiet so after I saw my patients I studied, ate lunch, then tried to send my attending telepathic messages that he should send me home early.
But then we had a patient code and it wasn’t quiet anymore.
You’ve heard me talk about the mannequins in the simulation lab. We’ve been learning how to handle situations like this- practicing, making mistakes, and practicing again.
Yesterday I got to manage the airway for my real patient during the code. And I knew what to do. And we got him back. And it was awesome.
This is why we study for hours and hours on end. This is why we practice.
Initially it was also awesome that during this thing I was wearing a camouflage lead vest and apron to protect myself from the radiation from the X-Ray machine. I mean, it’s camouflage, and it looks like a bomb suit. But after about 60 minutes I was like, “This thing is getting heavy.” And after about 90 minutes I was like, “I’m pretty sure this lead apron is pulling my pants down. Yep. Pretty sure my scrubs are falling down, and there’s nothing I can do about it.” Still. Super awesome day. 👌🏻
