What marks the official start of summer?
As a kid I’d always have said the last day of school.
Now, it doesn’t really feel like summer until I've sat in the garden past 8pm without putting on a jumper! What’s the real start of summer for you?
Every year we plan, we dream, and develop strategies to be successful. We confidently proclaim that "This time it will be DIFFERENT." We WON'T get caught up in "all the little stuff." However, the day-to-day tasks of life and business have a way of getting in the way of our most important goals. We head off to fight the good fight, but we do so unarmed.
There is a formula for Execution— #Simplicity , #Visibility , #Accountability .
I’m excited to share that our new book has been named in Inc. Magazine's top 7 books for this summer if you want to change your life! Find it on #amazon or #barnesandnoble
I’ve been a Coach for 3 years now, and a lot has changed since I began.
For example, I used to think the best part of the job would be making money doing something I loved and although that’s still great, I now think the best part about doing what I do is seeing other women step into their new found confidence realising that having an online business isn’t nearly as difficult as they once thought.
How about you, lovely?
What is an unexpected joy in your work?
[THE EASIER WAY TO DELEGATE FOR PERFECT RESULTS] Delegation is critical to leadership. You can’t take on more responsibility unless you are willing to delegate to others. But that doesn’t mean it’s always easy.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a leader, whenever you delegate a task, you need to make it clear what level of authority you are conferring.
THE FIVE LEVELS OF DELEGATION:
1️⃣DO AS I SAY. This means to do exactly what I have asked you to do. Don’t deviate from my instructions. I have already researched the options and determined what I want you to do.
2️⃣RESEARCH & REPORT. This means to research the topic, gather information, and report what you discover. We will discuss it, and then I will make the decision and tell you what I want you to do.
3️⃣RESEARCH & RECOMMEND. This means to research the topic, outline the options, and bring your best recommendation. Give me the pros and cons of each option, then tell me what you think we should do. If I agree with your decision, I will authorize you to move forward.
4️⃣DECIDE & INFORM. This means to make a decision and then tell me what you did. I trust you to do the research, make the best decision you can, and then keep me in the loop. I don’t want to be surprised by someone else.
5️⃣ACT INDEPENDENTLY. This means to make whatever decision you think is best. No need to report back. I trust you completely. I know you will follow through. You have my full support.
When delegation goes awry, it’s often because the leader failed to clarify the level of authority. Remember, your team members are not mind readers! They bring their own experience and energy to work every day. In the absence of clear expectations, they will take whatever action they think best.
You can ensure a better result by mastering these five levels and teaching them to your team. When you do, this will become a common language that instantly clarifies your intention. You’ll begin to get the results you want instead of surprises. And your team will thank you.

ONE MORE DAY!
It's tomorrow. So close 😆! The August 2020 Head Start Productivity Luncheon is tomorrow and I can't wait to serve my attendees some amazing tips on how to set goals, maximize time, and reduce overwhelm.
I've got one last lesson to share before the event tomorrow…
Lesson 1: You are enough
Imposter syndrome sucks.
When you extend yourself to unfamiliar territory, all of a sudden you start thinking about reasons why this is a bad idea. What if they don't find what you have to offer valuable? What if they find out you're a fraud because you don't know everything about [insert your business here]?
But...What if you do the thing and it's amazing 😉?!
Because my favorite self help book is the Bible, I'm reaching for it here. I believe that you have already been equipped with innate gifts that are valuable and should be shared with your customers.
Will you need additional education? Maybe. Additional experience? Sure. But you don't need to be any more than the 100% true authentic self you are now to add value.
What do you have in your hands and from your current experiences that you can share right now? What comes to mind? Explore that and see where it takes you 🙂!
Remember, what's obvious to you is amazing to others. Type "I am enough" in the comments below if you agree.
Brownie points if you pray for me tomorrow 😊!

Copyright infringements on Pinterest!📌
What is a Copyright Infringement🤷?
Copyright infringement is a violation of piracy or theft of a copyright holder's exclusive rights through the unauthorized use of a copyrighted material or work, per the copyright holders federal Copyright Act.
How do you know if you can share content or photo’s?
🔺When you are visiting a website and would like to share the information there is usually a section titled Copyright Info or Sharing XYZ (i.e Recipe & Photo Sharing). Bloggers, services based business and product based businesses usually want their content shared but credit should be given where credit is due and their wishes respected if they do not want it shared.
For Example, let’s say a food blogger is sharing family recipes with her/his followers but they do not have a business pinterest account and do not wish for their content to be on Pinterest. They are browsing their personal Pinterest page and see their photo and recipe come up because someone else has created Pin’s! They cannot then file a copyright infringement complaint and have the pins be taken off Pinterest, if you have created the Pin or Shared the pin a complaint will be filed on your account.
How to avoid Copyright infringement🤷?
☑️ When you are repinning content, take a quick look to see if the content is linking back to the original source.
☑️ You find a recipe that is to die for and you want to share it! Double check the owner is happy to have their content shared. As I said above there is usually a “sharing” section on their website.
☑️ Do not take photos to use for your content without permission! There are many places you can get stock photos for free. If you are looking to source photos elsewhere make sure you have the proper permissions to share.
Have questions about copyright infringements? DM me and I will help you best I can 🙋!
Confidence is a tricky thing.😬⠀
A few of my group coaching members have mentioned it as being a mindset and skill they want to focus on so I tackled it head on this week. @brendonburchard said it much better than I ever could so I utilized insights from his book High Performance Habits. 📕⠀
Inside the book he provides “performance prompts” after teaching a new idea, which is basically how you can immediately implement what you just learned...and if you’ve followed me for even half a second you know I am a big fan of immediate implementation 📝⠀
One of the questions he poses, that I’m asking you today is:⠀ ⠀
“Something I have learned to do in the past few years that I have not yet given myself credit for is…”⠀
We all have skills and abilities that deserve to be celebrated and acknowledged! 🥳⠀
Let me know how you’d answer this question in the comments below. 👇🏼⠀

For some people, failing presents such a significant threat to them that their motivation to avoid failure exceeds their motivation to succeed.
I am one of those.
I used to think that when you failed, it was because you weren't smart or intelligent enough.
I saw failure as a direct reflection of my (or lack of) self-worth, confidence, intelligence, hard work, etc. So I wanted it to be removed as a possibility completely.
I only did things that were guaranteed to succeed and the moment it looked like I might fail (or do something imperfectly), I abandoned it altogether. And most times this meant doing nothing of avoiding certain tasks or activities.
To me, it was better to fail on purpose (by not trying or attempting anything at all) than to fail because I’d tried my hardest and still couldn’t get it to work.
Most People who have a fear of failure are motivated to avoid failing not because they cannot manage the basic emotions of disappointment, anger, and frustration that accompany such experiences but because failing also makes them feel deep shame.
But fear can be so sneaky that we don’t even realize it’s ruling our lives.
We tell ourselves stories and make excuses to justify our inaction, and they’re good. They’re really, really good! In fact, they’re so good that we can get to the point where we have NO idea we’re sabotaging ourselves.
If you are wondering whether or not you struggle with this sneaky self-sabotaging behaviour,
I have shared some of the most common (and sneakiest) ways that fear of failure can show up in your life on my blog.
I hope it helps you become aware of how you might be sabotaging yourself in this light so you might begin figuring out how to change or overcome it.! https://todaywasfab.com/5-signs-you-may-have-fear-of-failure/
So often we think that productivity is about doing MORE. But it's not. True productivity is about getting the RIGHT things done.📈⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You need to STOP✋ and see what’s working and what’s not working with your current productivity. This will help you establish a clear vision for your productivity👀 and give you clarity about what belongs on your schedule and what doesn’t.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You need to CUT❌and perform operation on your to-do list and schedule. Figure out what tasks you should eliminate, automate, and delegate and how to cut up to 80 percent of tasks on your to-do list.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And finally, you need to ACT✅. Achieve more with your newfound time.🏆
2 More Days!
Okay, now it's starting to get real. In two days I'm going to be speaking to some high performing women about time management and task management. I'm not freaking out, you're freaking out 😳!
I'm excited to share a few lessons I've learned in planning this event.
Lesson 2: It's not perfect. And that's awesome!
Your clients aren't here because you're perfect. They're here for YOU. They love YOU. They support you and what you stand for. Stop overthinking it and focus on showing up as your best self, available to serve like only you can.
We can smell perfection from a mile away. It smells like plastic, and that ain't cute 😐!
If you're still waiting for perfect, friend, you'll be waiting for a long time! You'll also keep your clients waiting. Please don't make us wait! We're ready for what you have now 🤗!
I’m giving up the dream of perfection. Double tap if you're with me ❤️.

Ever feel like you're ridiculously busy, running in circles trying to keep it all together, always saying "it'll slow down next week" ...and yet, it seems like you're not actually getting closer to the kind of life you want?⠀
Hah, yeah, been there, done that 🙋⠀
BUT, I'm not doing it anymore! Some steps I took to get out of that downward spiral and into a more steady flow of moving forward:⠀
> Got REALLY CLEAR on what the most important lifestyle elements were to me (my top two: freedom + fulfillment 😍)⠀
> Stopped using OTHER people's judgement, imposed timelines and expectations to govern my decisions (byeee, opinions 👋)⠀
> Trusted myself enough to take ACTION on what I knew was right for me (+ to let go of things that weren't ✨)⠀
Those 3 things helped me not only slow down and, you know, *enjoy life* a little more, but also actually make progress towards goals and achieve the lifestyle I had been wanting for so. damn. long.⠀
Turns out, the only thing in my way was myself. The only thing in your way, is probably also yourself. ⠀
So with those 3 things above, where are you at? 1/3? 2/3? 3/3?! Let me know and let's see how we can get you to a 3/3 ASAP 🙌
So often we think that productivity is about doing MORE. But it's not. True productivity is about getting the RIGHT things done.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This is why in my book Free to Focus, I teach you to STOP, CUT, and ACT. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You need to STOP and see what’s working and what’s not working with your current productivity. This will help you establish a clear vision for your productivity and give you clarity about what belongs on your schedule and what doesn’t.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You need to CUT and perform operation on your to-do list and schedule. Figure out what tasks you should eliminate, automate, and delegate and how to cut up to 80 percent of tasks on your to-do list.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And finally, you need to ACT. Achieve more with your newfound time. With the help of my book, you'll implement a weekly and daily system for productivity, so you can stay focused on your most important tasks, protect your time, and finally get rid of overwhelming work weeks.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you want to achieve more by doing less, head to freetofocusbook.com.

How to get research opportunities✨
I got a lot of questions yesterday after I posted on my stories about doing research. A lot of the advice from this post is geared towards International Medical Graduates , but I also feel that some of the advice can be applicable to anyone whether you're in undergrad or medical school. Whatever research you decide to go into, make sure your research positions/publications match up to what you're planning to go into. I personally knew an IMG who went into internal medicine interviews with a background of surgical research. During his interview, He was asked why he did surgical research when he was going to internal medicine. So make sure your research aligns with your goals. .
Two main ways that IMGs get research positions are through joining a post graduate program or becoming a research volunteer. If you're really lucky, you can score a paid research assistant position.
Here are some additional tips when you're looking for research opportunities:
1. Talk to an Alumni from your college or someone from your area that has already done research. You can easily figure out where to go for research opportunities.
2. Look into University/ Medical school research facilities near your area. Almost always there will be vacancies for University facilities especially for specialties interested in Heam/Oncology. Also cancer research has multiple vacancies as well. .
3. After you figure out where you would like to research at, start emailing faculty members especially research coordinators. You might even find yourself emailing hundreds of people before you find a vacancy or even get a reply back. If you haven't heard a reply, call up the research office or maybe even visit them during office hours. .
4. When you get offered for the interview, read up on the literature that the research team is working on so you don't look completely clueless during your interview. During your interviews its OK to negotiate hours, and even asking if you can get a publication out of your time there. .
5. If you're still abroad or even in MBBS, invest your time doing case publications.
Here’s the perfect recipe for success.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You don’t have to reinvent the wheel every day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Success is about changing adding one small brick to your wall every single day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you can commit to taking small steps day in and day out, you will see amazing results piling up over time.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Build the foundations and trust the process!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The rest will work itself out.
