I thrive on traveling, but having to say goodbye to this pal for two weeks broke my heart a little! So to ease my sadness, here are a few photos from last week when we celebrated one year with him. We went to @luckydogoutfittersks to get a Gotcha Day bone and a new ball, and played at the dog park. Thankful for one year with our little Finn. 🧡
Instructions the boarder knows:
Feed twice a day.
Instructions we SHOULD have given them:
You must sing to him the “Finn Dog” song at least twice a day, and he requires at least 30 minutes of belly rubs per day. Before feeding, ask him “if he’s a hungry boy”, and he will dance for joy. When he has an itch, you may need to scratch it for him to act as his missing fourth leg. When he’s feeling insecure, he will ask to hold paws with you for at least 5 minutes (see photo!). If he starts frantically running figure 8 patterns for no apparent reason and has wild eyes, this is normal. He may also sit in you, sass you, and raid your trash can occasionally.
We held our third FREE spay and neuter clinic in Edison-Eastlake today! Switching it up from our normal spot and offering much needed resources to another community in Phoenix. 35 beautiful pets were fixed and vaccinated today (including a super critical dog with pyometria) all thanks to @fixadoptsave We were able to cover over $200 in pain meds and cones for pups who’s families were not able to afford them and handed out sWAG bags with toys, bowls, collars and leashes! We also raffled off a cat tree, dog house and Kuranda bed and the winners were ecstatic!
We love being able to get out into the community and give back to such an important cause, rain or HOTest of sunshine we have hosted these clinics for the past 9 years because free and low cost SPAY and NEUTER is the solution to our massive overpopulation of companion animals! Thanks as always to our donors, who make this happen, and to the hard working team with @drkellysmobilevet
