Honestly warm, freshly-baked bread is one of those simple pleasures that makes life worth it. The bread here in Morocco is made in a wood fire oven like this one everyday. One thing I’ve learned over time is that not all bread is made equal. Sometimes we’ll spend 30 minutes winding through the Medina in order to find THE bread spot.

Soft spaces in hidden places🌿 this courtyard was my sanctuary for a couple of days.

Ouzoud was such a healing place for me. By the time I got there I was sick and very weak. I sat at the top of the waterfall with my feet in the water, just watching the water and feeling grateful to be alive. Even though my stay was only a few days it had a really profound effect on my life.
Golden hour light is my favorite time of day. I love being able to watch the sky turn from blue to yellow to orange to black. It doesn’t matter where I am in the world, I will always stop and take the time to watch the sunset. What is your favorite time of day?

I’ve decided to show some of my travel photography after keeping it to myself for years. I love photographing windows and doors and will probably be sharing quite a few on here 😅
This photo is from the Riad we stayed at when we visited Marrakech last month.

I found a roll of undeveloped film from the first time I shot on film. These were taken on a hike at Mt. Si almost 5 years ago on a point and shoot camera but I actually really love them. #35mm#filmisnotdead
Arcosanti is like a fever dream suspended between a present past and a future imperfect. Conceived by the visionary architect Paolo Soleri—who left his native Italy at 22 to study architecture under Frank Lloyd Wright—Arcosanti opened in 1970 as a first gesture toward Soleri’s life-long pursuit of “arcology,” or the seamless blend of architecture (acropolis) and nature (ecology). #form#redmilkteam

Back when I was pregnant my dear friend @AnnieEdmonds told me she wanted to shoot me for a special project: she wanted to document her mother friends in their homes with their children. I suggested we did a Mother’s Day special for @RedMilkMagazine alongside a set of intimate questions on motherhood. Some grandmothers tagged along the way. The spread and the interviews are out today on #RedMilkMagazine -

After a little maternity leave, I’m finally back to an old favorite: getting to know people & storytelling. From Los Angeles with love #NataliaMeets beauty + cool kid @zarinanares for @redmilkmagazine out today. At the end of February, in the intimacy of her home, the blues singer & model opened up about her career path, dreams, likes and dislikes and a few other little things. Go on RedMilkMagazine.com to read the interview, scroll through the gallery (images by @fortunachris) & we added a little extra treat this time: you get to listen to this beautiful voice... #NataliaBonifacci#ZarinaNares#Interview#RedMilkTeam
