Bouboulina has been celebrated in Greece and Russia for 200 years. Here is her antique “Heroes of Greece” trading card, where she appears particularly piratey. 🏴☠️ The second image is a 19th-century Russian engraving with her riding her famous stallion. And always of course the sword, which was said to have removed many heads!

Senza vergogna 😂#❤️

I'm a big supporter of slow fashion and I believe in only buying things that last or have meaning, or make me happy.
I carry this philosophy to my jewelry brand - it's important to me that all buyers are in LOVE with the jewelry they receive, because each jewelry piece is my baby - I made it with my hands and I love it. 😘
If for some reason the customer doesn't love it (it's the wrong size, color, has been damaged in the post, etc...) I will ALWAYS accept returns no matter the reason.
Also, returned items don't get binned. I usually have to renew the metal parts, but the basic materials are all reusable and recyclable. Beads and gems don't ever get dumped - they don't lose their value and it's plainly wasteful to the planet to bin them.
There is a limited amount of natural gemstones, and that is a reason to hold on to each jewelry piece you own 😯 But that's a topic for another day 😉

Louis XVI was also the residing king during the French Revolution and was beheaded on Monday, 21 January 1793 at the Place de la Revolution. While his blood was still dripping to the ground, several onlookers ran forward and dipped their handkerchiefs in it. A DNA test in 2012 on one such was tested against a sample from the mummified remains of one of his ancestors, Henry IV, and had a positive match, proving the story to be true.
On 21 August 1940, Communist revolutionist Leon Trotsky dies of his injuries sustained the day before. Leon Trotsky was a prominent figure during the October revolution of 1917, which gave rise to the Communists in Russia, who signed a peace with the Germans. Together with Lenin and Stalin, he organized the new society of the Soviet Union and commanded the troops during the civil war years. After Lenin died, Stalin took over power, and quickly became a political foe of Trotsky. Their main point of disagreement was the Chinese revolution. Stalin believed the nationalists of the Kuomintang should be supported, since they had the biggest chance of overthrowing the traditional Imperialists, after which a communist revolution could take place. Trotsky believed that the Soviet Union should aid the Chinese Communist Party, under leadership of Chen Duxiu. Stalin and Trotsky’s differences grew and grew, while Trotsky was actively opposing Stalin’s policies, until he was finally exiled to Alma Ata, Kazakhstan in 1927.
A year later, he was exiled from the Soviet Union to Turkey, where he stayed for a couple of years, living in the same city as many White-Russian officers that had been exiled after the civil war. He then moved to France, followed by Norway, where he heard that he had been sentenced to death in absentia by Stalin. Then, Trotsky moved to Mexico, where he lived the rest of his days under heavy surveillance. However, Trotsky’s guards weren’t able to stop the Spanish mercenary Ramón Mercader from stabbing the Russian in his head with an icepick yesterday afternoon. Trotsky survived the blow and started to fight back, after which guards ran in the room and beat up Mercader. Trotsky was brought to the hospital while Mercader was handed over to the authorities. Today, Trotsky dies in hospital of his injuries sustained the day before.
