Demonstrators in the Bay Area gathered in Union Square in San Francisco to show solidarity with their Ohana on the Big Island of Hawaii to protest the desecration of sacred indigenous lands, Mauna Kea, being carried out by private companies. A worldwide problem that is being felt, especially here in the Bay Area, as gentrification continues to erase culture from its original birth places. "There's a war on indigenous cultures and we must do everything we can to fight the extermination of humanity that ties us to our roots" -

From Chasse-sur-Rhône in France, Clement Niel has been apprenticing at Feve this summer.
Clément has earned multiple certificates in chocolate-making and pastry making. He is an experienced culinary professional, having won the French Cup of Young Chocolate-Maker with the best prize of entrants under 20 years old, and has worked with many culinary companies in France including Panel, Au Chant Du Pain, Larat and L’Arlequin.
In his offtime, Clément enjoys playing competitive tennis, motocross and guitar.

The Palace of Fine Arts is San Francisco's designated landmark No. 88! We happen to share a birthday year with this amazing building, as well – 1915! The underside of the dome originally held murals by impressionist painter Robert Reid featuring the four 'golds' of California: poppies, citrus, metallic gold, and wheat.
