A beautiful and unique shot by @oceanaimee of multiple juvenile, subadult and adult Grey Reef sharks in the lagoon, taken on tour with @whalesharkdive and submitted by @sam__coe 💦💙 Thanks crew, you’re amazing 🙌😍
Last year, our crew documented a pod of dolphins encountering a series of drumlines in Bribie Island, QLD and in one case witnessed one taking bait.
These images are a sobering reminder of the risks and indiscriminate nature of Queensland's Shark Control Program.
Since, the Queensland government has implemented a 20m exclusion zone around the shark control equipment in an attempt to prevent our crews gathering these kinds of images and data to bring transparency to the program. We cannot let these indiscriminate fishing devices be hidden from the public.
Contact your local and state MPs to demand the removal of the outdated shark ‘control’ devices like drumlines and nets, and request the implementation of non-lethal methods.
Rivals Mount Lawley Hawks faced off against the Mighty Sharks and Sharkettes. Sharkettes B notching off a great win. Unfortunately Sharks Mens B slowly started against a fast Hawks B side and losing. Kingsway Kings youth battled against The Youth Sharks team in a tough game came out winners. Sharks Mens side played in a high intensity, physical and attacking game to see out a 3 all draw where both sides could’ve won the bragging rights. #upthesharks#sharks#futsalwa#futsal#perthisok#perth#futbolsala#subiaco#mightysharks

An amazing shot at a Fin Whale's proportions! And remember, these are only the second biggest whale 🌊😯🐳
Fin whales are also one of the few vertebrates that are asymmetrically colored, with the right and left sides of the body colored differently. The variations of color on the right side are one of the features that scientists use to identify individual whales of the species.
