#tuesdaytip 👉🏻 When styling shelves it’s about mixing materials, shapes + styles together!
My go-to shelf styling objects include:
- Marble book ends & boxes
- Black or gold candle stick holders
- Glass vases or cloches
- White coral or white geodes
- All White books, vintage books & stacks of magazines
- Low maintenance house plants
- Something worn/old/vintage
- Always something special!
Losing track of the days! Not long until it’s back to work after the summer holidays. Hoping it goes slowly! 🤞🏽
Love the shelfie above our bed ✨🖤 #shelfie#shelfdecor#shelfstyling#shelfiegoals
What a fun day! Our second local #scholarship winner, Sara Dancs, came by the office! After receiving her check, she toured the building with our VP of sales. She already has a commendable amount of experience under her belt and we can’t wait to see what she does next. Congrats again, Sara! 🎉
I love this little corner in my living room. I feel like it shows my style well- a mix of new & vintage pieces. This radio is usually on and playing old country songs while the kitties sleep below on the sectional. That’s happiness to me.
Treat every day like it’s Taco Tuesday💃 have a good one!!!

Whilst I love kitchen interiors, I’m definitely not a domestic goddess and I’m actually quite dangerous in the kitchen👩🏽🍳. It took me a little too long to realise why my chorizo sausages weren’t cooking...yep, this idiot had the oven on instead of the grill 🤣 It’s a good job my hubby is well trained and normally does all the slaving in the kitchen haha!
To be fair.... I spent more time thinking of how I can change the kitchen 🤷🏽♀️ Thinking brass and black accessories instead of the rose gold/copper. I’d love a new marble worktop that goes up the wall to create a shelf too. I also like when the walls match the cabinets but not sure if it will go with the blinds. So many decisions 🤣
So here’s a little look at my Gallery wall with @desenio
As you guys will know I was umming and ahhing over gallery wall ideas for some time and wanted to create something calm, yet interesting and that I wouldn’t get bored of. With the help of @desenio I was able to create a beautiful stair gallery wall featuring both some of my favourite prints from Desenio’s site and some I’ve collected over the years. The first pic is actually a little flip vid and then if you swipe you can see the full stair view!
They have a fantastic selection and they somehow all seem to look so good together.
So, exciting news, I have a 25% discount code ‘TOBYSHOME’ which gives 25% off prints* across all Desenio sites until midnight 22nd August (UK time). Follow @desenio for more inspiration, their page is so good and fresh. *Except for frames and handpicked/personalised prints.
Also - their frames are INSANE. They are so much better than the standard poster frames and are incomparable to Ikea’s standards. I would highly highly highly recommend. I bought several of these and will be using them in the future even if Just to frame my own pictures!
Discount code - TOBYSHOME - for 25% all prints. Please use and show them love and show me your pics when they’re up, and I will be eternally grateful hehe.
Lots of love and hump day tomorrow (ps I hope you like my prints (unfinished) and this little video) hehe x #DESENIO#Ad
As we are busy working on outside items, while the weather is still warm, I’m collecting inspiration for our main family room swipe to see my inspiration pictures from @halfway_wholeistic@diyplaybook and @bloomingdiyer
I was drawn to the built-ins, wainscoting, and fireplace as soon as we saw this house. Our plan is to paint everything white and build the built-ins to the ceiling.
Finally finished the powder room shelves!!! I never did find the exact decor I was looking for, but I found something that looked great and will work until I can find the coral piece I want in the space. I am also planning on making a sign for the shelf, we just need to cut the plywood sheet down to size. The light on the top shelf actually lights up with fairy lights and will look stunning with Christmas decor. I’m calling it done (for now) and am excited to move onto the next project. #llchouse#powderroom#diycouple#shiplap#shiplapbathroom#shelfdecor#shelfstyling#letmetakeashelfie#bathroomdecor
Where do you like to showcase your family photos? I love to blend them in- gallery wall style. My second shelf from the bottom, is dedicated to my mom and grandmother— it’s always nice to have family photos on display!
If you haven’t been following me very long then you might not know I painted our kitchen countertops about a year and a half ago!
Actually... our backsplash and cabinets were painted too... is there anything paint can’t fix?!🎨🙌🏼 The counters took a weekend to complete (would’ve been less time but also had to take care of a baby)! [swipe to see a photo pre backsplash and counter paint & a little photo breakdown of the counter painting process]
If I could go back, I would definitely do it again but with some minor changes- I’m planning a follow up blog post as soon as I can get some good photos that show how they’ve worn the past year. In the meantime, my original how to post is on my blog under “DIY Projects” if you’re interested!
Tell me what your favorite DIY project with paint has been... I’m pretty sure I’ve used it on every surface in our house!😂
I LOVED helping this client enhance her existing home. Lots of hard finishes in grey and white called for some warmth. Working with her existing lounge, dining table and TV unit we added colour with rugs, styling and cushions. It now feels a very happy space! Things always develop a little from the original concept, so some more personal art was chosen to complement their culture, plus a beautiful handmade table runner (can I have one please?!)
I'm hoping you can all help me this morning, I'm on the hunt for two things if you all wouldn't mind helping me with!
🥇I would LOVE gather a collection of photos of where my orders end up, I want to see and share where they end up - this is open to ANYTHING I have made in the past, even when I was gifting my practice frames or card stitching ✨
🥈This could end up as two birds with one stone - I'm on the hunt for some great #shelfie shots, what you have on your shelves at home?? (Papercutes or not, I'm intrigued... call it market research if you will), DM me your photo or tag me in your insta story. I'm hoping to develop but need a little hand with it 💕
Thanks in advance for anything you send me and believe me, it's very much appreciated 😍 (apart from dick pics, don't send me those 🍆📸)

It’s Millie Vanilli’s world, I’m just living in it 🐶 She’s showing off this light from @kirklands that’s been sitting on the floor of my craft room for over a year. Personal preference, I think it looks much better on the ceiling. 5/5 stars 😂

The elegant balletic movement of a seal (vitulus in Latin), darting through the waves was the initial spark for this sculptural floating shelf.
@davidtragen, when designing the Vitulus Shelf, was looking to make a piece that married functionality with aesthetics in even amounts and captured both the playful agility of the seal with a reference to its marine environment.
Vitulus is pictured here in Maple with turquoise and magenta painted sections.
You can customise this piece to any colour on request and sizes range from 1100 to 1700mm in length.
