I’m always my own harshest critic with my legs, most days I have complete dysmorphia. I see a way out balanced physique, fairly good upper body but with legs lagging way behind. .
I feel people sniggering as I walk past saying ‘’mates never let mates miss legs day’’ even though they are not. I hear people saying ‘’have you seen how small his legs are and pointing at me’’ even though I know they are not. .
I’ve fallen victim myself to making pathetic comments like ‘‘I train my calves but they just wont grow no matter what I do’’ BULLSHIT FREEMAN! .
Lads, honestly how many of you have said that?
12 months ago I made a commitment to myself for my own mental health, legs were getting trained equally versus the upper body. One upper session, One lower. .
Quads were getting hit as hard as chest! Same intensity! .
Calves were getting hit as hard as biceps, 4 exercises, 4 sets of 12 relentlessly every session. 1 exercise 3 sets of 12 at the end of a leg session when your already fucked then whining like a little bitch that they never grow before given up on them after 4 weeks as no matter instant gratification in growth!
Just now I caught my legs in the studio mirror and I think for the first time I can actually remember I felt happy and ok with them, you know what they are not actually looking too bad!
