When we got to the edge of the park and into the Helicopter I instantly realized how amazing the following 5 days would be. As we cruised over rivers and lakes and boulder fields my mind raced with the possibilities of 5 days within the backcountry of Sarek National Park. We hit the ground and made our way to our first campsite. Initially we crossed a huge open valley filled with cotton grass and cloudberries, of which we happily indulged as we made our way toward the mountains. A few easy kilometers and many photos later we set up camp and ate a meal of delicious salty smoked fish and instant potatoes, followed by hot chocolate and a warm sleeping bag. The first night of what would be one of the best trips ever. Thank you to @swedishlapland and @laponiaadventures for making this a reality, I’ll definitely be back. #swedishlapland
Just got back from 10 days exploring sweden with @swedishlapland. This was my first time traveling to europe, and this beautiful country blew away all of my expectations. On this day we set out on a trek through Sarek National Park. The terrain reminded me of Alaska in it’s Untouched wilderness, with no trails or facilities within the park. Just the occasional hiker and far more reindeer than one could count. We managed to cover 18 kilometers on this day, which allowed us to camp at this beautiful spot overlooking the Rapa valley. Our guide Christian with @laponiaadventures said this is his favorite spot in the whole park, and for good reason. Sweeping panoramic views from a high plateau, river braids meandering into the distance, surrounded by mountains on all sides. We arrived in the afternoon, and in the evening chris cooked up a late dinner of reindeer stew. I fell asleep with a full belly and an even fuller heart. So thankful for this experience, and I’ve got lots more to share. ✌🏻🇸🇪 #swedishlapland

Bei dieser Aussicht wat der #königssee sogar mal langweilig 😅
Marsh Marigolds making their stand around 12k feet on top of Cottonwood Pass. The Three Apostles stand proud in the background during a warm Colorado sunset, what a sight to be able to witness and capture. Curious to know, what are some of your favorite wildflowers? Let me know in the comments! 🙏🏻
DM or email for prints!.
This was a beast of an edit as it consisted of three focal stacked images each of which is an exposure blend. I have a lot of fun with these kinds of shots and edit, I seem to always learn or figure out something new during the process. I’m still working on material and a good way to present my knowledge to people who may be interested.
