Atlanta is not the fucking “South.” It’s basically a New Southern city (with a lot of transplants who aren’t originally from Georgia) with its own distinctive culture as a result of the original Atlanta being completely and utterly destroyed during Sherman’s March to the Sea. Hence, the idiosyncrasies and contradictions of it being a city located in the Deep South and yet, being considered the Black Mecca where the African American population has the most political power. If you want to see the “real South,” then you have to go where I grew up. In terms of real Southern cities that preserve the unique culture of the South, it’s basically New Orleans, Charleston, and Savannah and that’s it. Dumb article. #atlanta#south#neworleans#charleston#savannahgeorgia https://atlantajewishtimes.timesofisrael.com/living-in-the-south-but-not-a-southerner/

Though a little under rated compared to 'veena stores', 'sri Raghvendra stores' has one of the best idlis Malleswaram and Bengaluru has to offer. Located at the heart of Malleswaram's residential area, just next to Malleswaram's railway station and close to various educational institutions, this south Indian eat out attracts many who want to satisfy their idli cravings.
Also do try out their chowchow bath and savige bath. #bengaluru#malleshwaram#idli#vada#breakfast#weekend#weekendwarrior#south#foodforthesoul#food#foodblogging
