The Bean and I went for a nice walk to the park the other day. It had been a few weeks since we had gone, as it had been way too hot for us to be outside. Bean has a low heat tolerance, and so we never push her to be out in the sun if it is over 27C (79F); it can be dangerous for her health.
We really enjoyed the park. We stayed for an hour and then continued on for a 2km walk along the Robinson Path. We saw some thistles and some honey bees. Bean always loves to stop and watch as they drink nectar and collect pollen on their bodies. 🐝
Yesterday, we were on the bus into town and an elderly lady sat next to us. Bean noticed she was wearing a bee patterned shirt. Right away, she started telling the lady that bees drink nectar and collect pollen on their legs and bodies to pollinate other plants. The lady had no idea how bees impacted the environment around us, and was astonished that Bean knew so much about what bees can do. One of Bean’s favourite books is “Why do we need bees?”, a book that literally teaches children about the importance of bees for the environment, and the different kinds of bees as well. 🌼
I love being about to teach her about all these things, especially when there are really fun books for her to read. I definitely recommend the book for others!
Pack pack pack pack.
That’s all I’ve been doing for the past 2 days.
I’ve been sick with a cold since I got back from Hajj with no time to relax since I’m leaving for my next trip in a few hours 😩 I’m not very excited for the long flights but I’m SOOO ready to sleep 😴
See you all later on the other side of the globe.. Peace out! ✌🏻

I’m sure some of you may look at my feed and think, “wow, she’s got it all figured out.” If you haven’t been told yet, let me be the first to say, NOBODY has it ALL figured out. We’re all just floating through this life seeking a sense of purpose. Sure, there are folks who have directions and inspiration guiding them throughout life, but nobody knows everything. The only way we learn is by observing, integrating, and reflecting on our experiences. We all have very different life paths. Everyone’s journey will lead them through twists, turns and sometimes brief setbacks. Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Live outside these little squares and embrace the flow of existence with grace. #livewithgrace
