Laui propagation!! ❄️ Some propagation tips:
1- Pull leaf from the base and make sure to get a clean tear. I find that they pop off easiest if I’ve watered the plant recently.
2- Let the leaf callous over before placing into soil or water. I usually just leave my leaves in a windowsill and they air propagate on their own. The humidity helps for air propagation- the leaf will shoot out roots looking for moisture in the air!
3- Once roots are well developed, gently cover with soil and water once or twice weekly. I’ve found it’s helpful to water my propagation pots much more often that I water full grown succulents. They can accept much more water than adult plants in my experience, and grow fastest when the soil is watered often.
4- Keep babies in a semi-bright area but not in direct sunlight. I have burned pups before with too much direct light! • •

One of my lithops is blooming which is great! But also, Kalypso and I have a new plant 'gram, @plantbians, where all of our plant stuff will live. Give it a follow if you're into plants, plant science, plant experiments, or plant lesbians!
