Water has never been an attraction for me. I don't enjoy swimming as a recreational activity, but I do swim for the exercise and recovery after running.
The scariest part about water is when it is on my face unexpectedly. If someone splashed and it touches my face I'm out of the pool instantly. It terrifies me.
When I was about 4 I remember jumping into a community swimming pool, with school, at the deep end. It was my first time in a pool and I had no idea that there was a deep end. Lots of bubbles and panic is what I remember and then all these faces staring down at me. I must have been pulled out of the water by someone as I don't recall how I went from the water to the paving.
Why was nobody watching me?
Four decades later and water on my face still scares me.
Do you have a similar experience?

On the corner of Swanston and Bourke St you will find "The three businessmen who brought their lunch" sculpture. These odd looking fellows are actually the early Melbournian businessmen, John Batman, Charles Swanston and Robert Hoddle.

In Melbourne you can find all different types of architecture. From gothic, to art deco and modern. I love this city! When your next in Melbourne remember to look up and SEE Melbourne.
