One of the most beautiful parts of this trip to the Arctic is meeting such lovely people. This talented lady hand knit the sweater I’m wearing and she finished it just minutes before I put it on. More on that later.
Purchasing this sweater was no simple task. I’ve been eyeing these Greenlandic sweaters I’ve seen locals wearing. I couldn’t find them in any store. Every time I asked someone where they got their sweater, the response was...”my aunt made this for me” or “my girlfriend knit this for me.” I soon learned that these sweaters are made as gifts and not available at retail.
I went into a local bakery J/Z Tiggaliorfik and over a Danish pastry told the owner my mission. She quickly texted a friend who knits sweaters to bring some over to the bakery. 🧶 A coffee later and this knitting maven appears with a bag of sweaters. Kind of felt like a drug deal except with sweaters! 🤣
My friend purchased one, but my size wasn’t available. However, the lady had another unfinished sweater in my size and the colors I wanted...a Greenlandic miracle! She just needed to finish the neck and asked to give her 2 hours to finish. Deal!
I went to the bank to get 1100 Danish kroner. Had a mini dance party in the parking lot between the Brugseni grocery store and the Tele Post with @pammjensen@kstars76@clauboiss & some locals. Then we met the knitting master under the whalebone arch at the Sisimiut Museum.

Smoothies are a great on-the-go meal or snack alternative. They are also an excellent post-workout fuel option for when you're unable to get to a meal fast enough. However, if you aren’t mindful of what or how much you throw in your blender, you may derail your health & fitness efforts without even realizing.
These three common smoothie mistakes may sabotage your health & fitness goals:
🍓Overdoing fruit: Fruit smoothies can quickly become a calorie or sugar bomb if you aren’t careful. While fruit can be a healthy addition to your plan, there is such a thing as too much fruit. Don't throw all the fruit from your fridge into your blender or use fruit juice as your base. Do limit the fruit in your smoothies to approximately 1 cup. Use cold water or an unsweetened dairy alternative as your liquid. Add healthy fats such as avocado or nut butter, and vegetables to create a more balanced smoothie.
🥦Abandoning portion control: Packing smoothies with healthy ingredients does not give you a free pass to consume copious amounts. Don't pack your blender to the brim. Do measure your ingredients. Limit your smoothie base to approximately 8 ounces of liquid for snacks and 12 ounces for meals to keep your smoothie in a healthy calorie range.
🥑Overlooking your food groups: Don't limit your smoothies to fruit. Do include ingredients from at least three food groups. Adding protein, whole grains, dairy, and vegetables will balance out your smoothie & add a variety of essential vitamins & nutrients. Consuming a balanced smoothie may also help you feel fuller longer & prevent blood sugar spikes from drinking fruit alone.

Первое - малюсенький городок по имени Palma De Montechiaro сплошное очарование! Правда обойти его весь можно минут за 10) так что в список “Mast visit Сицилия» он попадает под номером две тысячи сто тридцать пять)
Второе - когда ты без багажа (только микроскопический рюкзачок за спиной) рубашка может неожиданно превратиться в платье, в накидку для пляжа, домашний халатик и в интересные сочетания с топами)
В общем - экспериментам и многослойности ДА)
Третье - дайте название моему образу с фото)
Лучшему комментатору (на мой субъективный вкус) отправлю открытку заряжённую солнцем Сицилии!)
