Wedding done. 👌🏻 I’ve missed being behind a camera. Hit me up if you’re in need of some family photos 💕
My favorite sessions are filled with those sweet candid in-home moments. I’d love to create something you’ll cherish forever. 🏡
Lately it's been so hot that we've become shut-ins on the weekends, just sitting in front of a fan. Today was no exception to the heat but we were determined to get out of our rut.
The shade under a full, green tree at the orchard with the wind blowing, makes any day a good one! 🌳🌿 Then we walked down to the Grill&Beer Festival and Jeremiah was in steak heaven. 🥩 We just so happened to sit next to a family from Saltillo - the dad was from Belgium and spoke 6 languages, including English so that was a pleasant surprise to get to enjoy ourselves and relax a little! 😆
Dark and Light 🌘🌖 These are first tie dyeables I’ve created in diva size and I’m happy with the results. The darker colored robe was created using a double dip method (which was very intimidating) and the lighter kaftan was made using resists. Here’s to hoping I get chance to create another on my day off!
Have a lovely weekend!☀️

I don’t know if I’m late to the game here but the Hudson Valley is SO SERIOUSLY COOL. If you’re like me and love farm-to-table food, breweries, bonfires, and listening to music with the windows down while you drive through stunningly beautiful fields, then you have to check it out.
And, um clearly, it makes the most magical, jaw-dropping, backdrop for an elopement at sunset.
Have you ever been?!

Highlights of the week include:
1) celebrating Jack’s 11th birthday yesterday (how time flies?!)
2) catching up with dear family friends over dinner (even though they didn’t mention they are eating clean, so I served bun-less turkey burgers over aged spinach)
3) kids playing fooseball and anki overdrive in my “new” basement
AND...a friend told me that she showed my picture to her hair stylist for inspiration (@elizabeth.mcq you’re the best)
Between an ongoing remodel, the drama of changing wireless carriers, and frustrating scheduling conflicts, it’s easy to get caught up in the stress of life and finish the week listing all of the things left unaccomplished. I’m choosing instead to list the wins. What are your wins for the week? #winsoftheweek#itwillallcomeoutinthewash

The best places to get the freshest flowers for your home! 💐
I love how fresh flowers look in my home. I have some in my foyer, some on my breakfast table and usually a few stems in the powder room and in my bathroom (of course!). I even make sure I have a stem or two next to my bed. Of course, if I’m entertaining, I add flowers to wherever we are having cocktails and they are ever present as part of my tablescape in the dining room.
Fresh flowers brighten any room and bring life to any space they’re in. It’s interesting, guests mention that my home always feels welcoming but they don’t equate part of that feeling to the fresh flowers that are always present. But, I’m here to tell you that those flowers absolutely contribute to it. Link to latest blog in bio! 💐
Officially in the third trimester! I am in deep nesting mode and it’s even driving myself a little crazy 😅. When did you start nesting? I have organized just about every room on top of outside projects 🙃.
I often get asked why I wear a "bean" around my neck. For many of you who don't know, I was born with Vesicoureteral Reflux, a condition in which urine back-flows into the kidney(s) causing severe permanent damage if not detected early. Unfortunately that was the case with me when my kidney almost ruptured at the age of 2, requiring several emergency surgeries on my kidney, ureter & bladder. A chunk of my childhood was spent in & out of hospitals, having endless tests run and traveling to see the best specialists in the province. As I've aged my kidney function continued to deteriorate (getting as low as 8% 🙀) resulting in the removal of my right kidney almost 6 years ago (Thanks to the top Urologist in Calgary, he’s my life saver!!) Although my health is not 100% and I still deal with reoccurring stubborn kidney infections that leave me in the hospital for days on end, I'm incredibly grateful for the life I live. I wear this kidney bean for the kidney I lost and as a little reminder to myself to properly care for the kidney I still have (especially since its function is not always ideal😭). March is National Kidney Month & today marks World Kidney Day, so do yourself a favour friends and get your kidneys screened!! If you battle with diabetes, hypertension (like me) or have a family history of kidney failure your screening is FREE, so no excuses! 💚 Never take your health for granted, we only live once!! 🙃

This has been my profile pic since the beginning of the year yet I’ve never posted it before 🤔 Thought it would fit in nicely with all the pink on my feed at the moment 🌸 I look rather melancholic but this is just my RBF tbh 😂

It’s the colour that gazes back at you in The Girl with a Pearl Earring and in the pleated folds of the sleeves of The Milkmaid. A true blue cornflower blue. For the Dutch artists (and their families saddled with the debt) it came at a price, but in nature it comes with the generosity of a self seeder. Scattering itself freely and flowering without fuss. Gardening with a paint brush.
