“Corrado take advice from people who have what you want, and have also been where you are. By doing this you take the most applicable advice based on your current situation.” This is the best advice I ever got from a very successful Entrepreneur, he gave me this advice back when I opened my first business venture and for me it was highly applicable because he owned one of the biggest Limo Companies in Toronto. He had a business which is what I wanted and he has been where I was (starting out on our own building an enterprise from the ground up) and this was very important because although they’re different business that grew during different times many of the experiences were relatable.
My grade 10 teacher is eating his words today because back then he told me that “if I don’t become a soccer player that I was going to be a loser because I sucked in school” If I ever see this teacher I still want to call him a loser even though I am happy he said this to me lol but then thank him 😂.
Let me know your thoughts about this please share it in the comment section below do you think teachers should talk to students like this?? YES?? or NO??
This piece is called 'Tombstone' (2019). The write-up said, "The artist repeatedly built up and cut away densely packed plastic to create a futuristic turtle-shell form. This reptilian shape alludes to Indigenous oral histories of a turtle who carries the world on its back...and the origin of 'Turtle Island' (North America)...Jungen highlights our current ecological crisis: he places the natural world, composed of plastic, against the systems that have led to these devastating changes in our environment."
