I recently discovered Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). (In Turkish- Turkcesi: Kabul ve Kararlilik Terapisi ve Istanbul'da yeni yeni yayginlasmakta olan bir terapi yontemi). As I read about it, I have grown a lot in terms of professionally and personally and feel more aligned with my own values. My motivation is significantly increased and I found myself while doing the things that I was postponing for a while. I am also reading ACT Made Simple 2nd Edition. While The Happiness Trap is written for everyone who wants to transform their inner world, ACT Made Simple was for mainly mental health professionals. However, I met a significant amount of parents and teachers who read on ACT and loved it's philosophy. This is all it matters! There are tons of different theories, methods, approaches, and concepts your therapist know or applies with confidence. We choose our theories, when it's philosophy fits our beliefs and values, when it resonates with us. Great communication skills and the ability to motivate others
