We just wrapped up our time in Costa Rica and were so sad to leave! 😢 I think this beautiful country will always have our hearts. We were able to see so much of Costa Rica in nearly 3 months, however we realize that we still just scratched the surface!
We spent 2 months exploring all over the north Pacific in the Guanacaste region to the mountainous areas of Arenal, Monteverde, Tenorio, and Rincon de La Vieja. A few weeks ago we made our way down the coast and explored more of the southern region of Costa Rica and fell in love! ❤️ Costa Rica really does have it all! We always joke that we have yet to see an ugly area of this country. 😆 If you love nature and adventure (and wildlife!), you have to put Costa Rica high on your bucketlist.
A lot of people have asked us the best way to get around Costa Rica and where to go. While that isn’t exactly an easy answer (it all depends on when you want to go and what you like to do!), there is one thing we can tell you. To get around Costa Rica, it is best to rent a 4X4! 🚙 Whether you come in the dry or wet season (we’ve been here in both), it really is ideal to explore this country with a four-wheel drive. So many rugged dirt roads, puddles and rivers to cross (especially in the green season), as well as steep mountains that make it necessary to have a 4X4. And if you’re like us and like the freedom and flexibility to explore pretty much anywhere, it’s the only way to go!
On the 5th day of our trekking we finally made it! Welcome to Machu Picchu! Not only it is a UNESCO world heritage site, but also considered one of the seven wonders of the world. When people say Machu Picchu is a magical place we couldn’t agree more! Watching the sunrise from the top with the valley covered in mist was a very special moment that we will never forget 🤩
We believe that the fact we did the trekking before Machu Picchu made this visit even more special and unforgettable. First it showed us how strong and capable we are of achieving anything we want 😊 This was our first trekking experience so we weren’t sure how we would deal with the altitude or the fatigue; and then it led us to visit new places and learn so many new things about Peru and its people we wouldn’t learn otherwise. Shoutout to our amazing guide Carlos from @salkantaytrekking as well as our group the Sexy Condors, and our friend @brunoptics for always having a positive spirit!
Travel tip 💡 you have two ways of going to Machu Picchu from Aguas Calientes: by foot or bus. If you go by foot the climbing will take you approximately 1 hour. We believe this is probably the best option because when we left our hostel at 3.30 am, the queue for the buses was already massive. And because we did it by foot we were one of the first 100 people to arrive so we could really experience Machu Picchu without the masses 👌 but if you go by bus they are very frequent so hopefully you will not have to wait for long
I have travelers who want to focus one major vacation every year with family. They ask me to find a large house, villa. Lodge, or camp that they can enjoy with extended family and friends. I'm happy to be able to meet their needs. The further out they plan, the more options I have available.
I now have even more resources at my disposal! Homes, multi home compounds, international homes, even yachts for charter!. Going to a theme park? I have honed in the area? Mexico, or other international locations? Got you covered. Resorts, national park areas, and cabins? Yup, I've more of these too!
You can spend on average 22 hours, looking at very limited options online, or you can simply let me know what you want, and I'll do the work. Even if you wish to look as well, I'll be checking inventory that is exclusively available to travel professionals.
And when you book your travel with East- West Global Travel & Tours, our services cost you nothing out of pocket!
I can never get enough Chai tea and comfy floor pillows. Who’s with me?! Swipe to see some deliciousness.
😌☕️🧘🏼♀️☀️ @thechaispot in Sedona is one of my favorite places to go and relax on a beautiful day with a cup or their authentic homemade chai.
Here forever . . .💞
I initially thought that this is just another
overrated place but I'm filled with awe
as I've witnessed the beauty of this
white marbled mausoleum. --
It is historically built in memory of the emperor's beloved third wife after dying while giving birth to their 14th child .
Truly romantic isn't it?
Marzamemi. Siete speciali❤️
Another picture from our 4 day trip to Singapore. The city we only knew from the airport for years. We feel so lucky that we finally could explore the streets of Singapore.
We took this picture at Cloud Forest. The waterfall is actually 30 meters high. Although 20 Singapore Dollars are very expensive we highly recommend this place!! You can walk along bridges from 7th floor to ground floor while learning a lot about climate change, biodiversity - simply how to save planet earth❤️.
Today we flew from Singapore to Yogyakarta. Lovely called “Jogja”. We feel so good being back “at home” in Indonesia for the 3rd time. Indonesia was our first oversea journey and it still is a magical place for us! Yogyakarta is amazing! We already found more than 10 vegan restaurants on google maps. We are excited to post the pictures from the most beautiful hotel in Yogyakarta soon :). Stay tuned!
Have you been to Indonesia yet? And which places did you explore in Indonesia?
