Ah, Portovenere: the 🌊sea smell and the 🕊seagull's music...
When visiting Liguria you must stop at Portovenere!
A destination for elite tourism thanks to illustrious figures that have made it famous in the early 1800s, Portus 🛶Veneris – refers to a temple dedicated to the goddess Venus, which was located on the promontory where the ⛪ Church of St. Peter now stands. The name has also been linked to that of the hermit monk Venerio. Today he is celebrated as Saint Venerius, protector of the lighthouse guardians because, according to legend, during stormy nights he would light huge bonfires on the Island of Tino to save ships out at sea in the Gulf of Poets.
A perfect place for romantic or 👨👩👧👧 family walks with colorful buildings and deep blue waters, the landscape is enriched with fishing boats, tourist's yachts.
I had the feeling that present meets history in this place and was astonished by the construction on the cliffs that our ancestors did.
Of course, our evening completed with amazing dishes with local receipes and cold fresh prosecco to show GRATITUDE and celebrate life!
We are lucky.🌅
I’m sure many of you know this by now, but I’ll say it again because I just love traveling! I would like to take 3 vacations per year with the simple goal of creating amazing experiences with my family—outside the country, inside the country, national parks you name it, I’m here for it. We got back from Lake Havasu a little over a week ago now, always hot as heck but it remains one of my favorite travel destinations I’ve been visiting since I was little. I really enjoy the time away with my family.
The Zimbabwean capital is often overlooked by those visiting to see Victoria Falls or to go on a safari, and it’s a crying shame. Harare is one of the most attractive cities in all of southern Africa.
Boasting a blend of African charm and modern conveniences, the city of two million has a delightfully summery feel to it that blends well with its selection of bars, restaurants, and boutiques.
Highlights of Harare include cultural sites such as the National Library and National Gallery, serene escapes such as the National Botanical Gardens, Shona Sculpture Gallery, and Lake Chivero Recreational Park, and a number of wildlife sanctuaries where for day trips. 📷 @miss.mabona#WhenInZim
What time do you usually start your day when you’re traveling? 😉
As we’ve mentioned many times before, we usually start our day very early around 5 am when we are traveling. So our mornings mostly look like this, where we are literally running to get to places. 😂
While we are absolute foodies, we just can’t make time for breakfast! 😢
So to keep us going from place to place on an empty stomach for almost half a day, we make sure to carry @thefastbar with us! 💪🏻
Full of nuts and honey, it sure gives us the required energy to help us remain pumped during our adventures.😁
