Three hotel blokes. (Photobombed by Gabrielle Upton representing the Premier). Supporting Ralph Kelly and the Stay Kind Foundation and Movement at the Governor Generals Sydney home last night. Please go online and find out about Stay Kind and Kind July and how you can get involved. If an old soldier (the GG) the Prime Minister and three old hotel blokes think it’s worthwhile then it might just be a good thing. And it costs nothing. Just one act of kindness every day in July would be 775 million acts in Australia. What a better place it would be. #staykind#kindjuly#gg_australia#eatcookwander
We love it when our guests leave smiling!
'The resort is absolutely amazing and the rooms were beautiful, clean and very modern. We stayed at the 3 bedroom rooftop spa and bbq, and the 2 bedroom rooftop bbq, and wow one of the best places we have stayed!' 🙌😀🌴 #noosatropicana#noosa#noosaaccommodation#rooftopbalcony
Since I’ve cut most TV from my life (aside from @masterchefau, my Achilles heel), it’s easier to find the time to ‘do it all’*. ⠀
I’m also trying to adapt to a working world that’s moving crazy fast so I find podcasts are a good way of learning on the run, especially on those long commutes. My top 5 podcasts:⠀
1. Mumbrellacast – what’s going on in the world of media and marketing from the @mumbrella_aus team⠀
2. The Professor and the Hack – digestible politics from the awesome @hughriminton and co⠀
3. How I Built This with Guy Raz – how some of the most successful brands got off the ground from @guy.raz⠀
4. Flight of Fancy – @travellerau tales from some of the world’s best travel writers ⠀
5. Smoke Signal – your Aussie PR podcast⠀
Which podcasts add value to your life, whether personal or career-wise?⠀
*okay, I still can’t do it all, but I can do more⠀
Stay Kind launch of Kind July. Terribly honoured and humbled to be invited to the new Governor Generals home and so pleased that his first function was to launch Kind July for the Stay Kind foundation. His Excellency Major General David Hurley spoke so well from the heart about the importance of being kind to each other and my friend and colleague Ralph Kelly talked about the desire to turn his family tragedy into a beacon for kindness. My erstwhile Tourism colleague and the Governor Generals neighbour, Scott Morrison, dropped in and spoke passionately about the need for leadership to drive constructive social change. Please support the work of Stay Kind Foundation and join the Kind July movement. #staykind#kindjuly#gg_australia#eatcookwander

At the end of the rainbow you'll find a pot of gold - or in this case a Blowhole! 🌈 @thewestaustralian .
Today we went across the border from WA to the NT for a day trip to visit the Zebra Rock Mine! Zebra Rock is the rarest rock in the world and is only found over a 40km radius since it’s discovery near Lake Argyle in the 1920’s. I’ll be putting up a blog post about why scientists travel from all over the world to visit this ancient formation from billions of years ago and why it has remained an enigma that’s baffled the scientific world for over 100 years. 🦓
Travel is a strange thing. The more I travel and experience the world, the more I come to appreciate the incredible places we have back home in @australia. Visiting new places, meeting new people and enduring the challenges that come with overseas travel, I begin to wonder why we don’t spend more time doing the same in our own backyard. I wonder how many Australians can say they have visited Bali, Thailand, Europe or the US, yet haven’t travelled to the other side of their own country. Where is your dream destination? If you’re anything like me, probably a far flung ‘exotic’ location on the other side of the globe? #foodforthought

I took way too many photos and video clips of our Great Bear Rainforest adventure but looking back now I’m so glad that I did. I’m still finding previously unnoticed treasures, like this short video.
