Was out all day today, got home late and did NOT feel like practicing, but I did anyway, so ya know...props. 😂
Video 1 is me playing the beginning of Bordogni 55 normally this time.
Video 2: A family friend just GAVE me a French horn, so now I guess I’m learning French horn...? I’m pretty exited though, I’ve always wanted to try a smaller bore brass instrument and the French horn has always particularly interested me so this should be fun. So here is me playing a bit of mov. 3 of Vivaldi’s Sonata no. 3 in a Minor. I’m just starting and it’s really new to me so cut me some slack. 😅😅😅
Today’s practice: 0.75 hours

(Day 229/365) Hopefully I find a better way to share what I practice. Recently I haven’t felt a lot of motivation to write out what I’m doing, or to record myself. I find sharing it pointless, but I’m gonna try to share more. I need to get in the habit of spending hours practicing every day, because recently i’ve been practicing for even less than an hour outside of school. I haven’t been working as hard because i’ve been busy/distracted. Hopefully I’ll post more tomorrow.
As we look forward to our upcoming season, we ❤️ experiencing and learning music that is new to us! Here is a taste of “Artemis” by American composer Christopher Rouse. Named after the Greek goddess of the hunt, this piece is meant to evoke just that. Going to be a great challenge for us, as our first read through is about 60 metronome clicks slower than the printed tempo 😋 😓
