Are you still using washing up liquid inside plastic bottles? Don’t know what you could use instead? Check out this #vegan dish washing block by @notoxlife 👌🏼This has been one of my best and easiest plastic-free swaps. It’s free from parabens, sulphates and palm oil and yet it lathers like a dreaaam 🙌🏼 Made from completely batural ingredients, this dish washing block can also be used to clean carpets and upholstery 💃🏼 making it a multi-purpose product so you get more for your £££ 😍 You use it by wetting it and then scrubbing a dish unsponge, scourer or whatever you use (i like to use my Tawashi brush for this!) and then scrubbing your plates like you normally would 😏. Leave the block to dry out on a soap dish and it will last you months! 💃🏼 .
If you want to make the switch you can find this amazing product, and the Tawashi brush at @plasticfree_uk (link in bio @doitfordavidofficial) Everything comes delivered in plastic-free packaging of course 🙏🏼 #saynotoplastic#crueltyfree maketheswitch #valueformoney#doitfordavid

You can juice some parsley too. But I didn’t have any. 🤷♀️ I love this juice. Need a new juicer though... I have the feeling, that mine doesn’t get as much juice out of the fruits and veggies as a juicer could. It’s also really old already and I used it a lot! 🙏

I wish I could say I’ve been doing daily yoga since arriving on the farm like I intended to. The reality is, aside from a few handstands, this is the only stretch I’ve done in the past week and a half. Instead, I have been stretching my brain and taken up writing ✍🏻 I’ve been journaling almost every day, making sure I have something to go back to when this crazy trip of a lifetime is over. I’ve also started a travel blog on Wordpress, writing about our experience. If you feel inclined to give it a read, there’s a link in my bio to my intro post (and I just posted a Singapore blog 🇸🇬)

I frequently get asked where to buy vegan milk wastefree - but making it yourself is so easy you don't have to buy it! It's done so quickly I usually make it fresh when I need it, but of course you can also store it in the fridge :) Recipe:
20g almonds for each 100mL Water, sweetener of your choice or taste. (0. Soak the almonds over night and rinse the next morning - I usually don't do this step, and find that my milk turns out fine :) - soaking almonds makes them for some people easier digestible, so just find out what works for you :))
1. Blend water and almonds - add sweetener like honey or have syrup or sugar - best taste what's good for you
2. Pour milk through a strainer or towel to separate left over nuts. I usually also skip this step as I use the milk for muesli or baking and they add a great texture.)
It is a freaking heat wave over here but I want to conserve as much energy as possible! and I want to use eco-friendly products whenever possible. because We love the Earth~~It is our planet~🎶 I’ve decided to go green!! Ricasso inspired me🙌🏻

Please let me know if I did contradict myself because I’m not able to see it, but why do people insist on being so hostile? All I did was give my own words on the matter and was called a “fucking absolute barm pot” for no apparent reason. I simply tried to point out how it’s contradictory stating that it’s a “dog eat dog” world as if you were hunting for your food in the wild like a non-human animal when you stated at the bottom that you purchase grass-fed, organic meat which you have someone slaughter for you and is sold to you. That is very different from an non-human animal fighting to survive in the wild. Non-human animals do not have the means of going to the market or a farm or a butchers shop. They do what is necessary for themselves to survive (though not all animals have to do this as there are herbivorous non-human animals) while humans mindlessly demand the supply of meat and compare themselves to lions, etc. I just don’t get it. #vegan#veganfortheanimals#veganfortheearth#compassion#thefutureisvegan#meat#steak#bacon#eggs#dairy#milk#rawmilk#cheese#burgers#plantbased#vegetarian#keto#pescatarian#maketheconnection#govegan

Today's breakfast was Thalipeeth with Bhajani flour, MIL to-be gave us on our recent Pune visit ❤
Typically, Bhajani is a flour mixture of roasted Jowar, Bajra, Green Moong dal, Moth Dal and other grains with coriander and jeera seeds. Dough is made by adding Bhajani with chopped onions, coriander, salt, sugar and chilly powder with water🔥
We had it with yesterday's Garlic chutney which was made for Neer Dosae and a huge chunk of butter. Yum yum yum combo!
When I was in Europe for 3 months last year, my biggest concern before I left was “what am I going to eat?” Being a coeliac who is also vegan, finding places to eat (especially in foreign countries and ESPECIALLY if I don’t speak the native language) is anxiety-provoking. If I have any one tip for you, it’s do your research before you go. That’s before you visit a city or a country, and before you head out for the day (ie I would look on the map where we would be visiting during the day and find a place that was suitable in the area to eat at) 🌞 this cute plant filled cafe in Lisbon was found after some research 🌵 sometimes the traditional foods might be accessible to you ( I got marinara pizza in a lot of Italy on a gluten free base, or ate farinata in Cinque Terre, and lots of lemon gelato and granita... not requiring much substitution there) but in some countries it might require a bit more effort! I always learnt how to say “vegan” and “gluten free” in each country’s language and also (if you’re a coeliac at least) you can download these cards that explain the illness and what you can’t eat in every world language, I found this particularly useful when I was in Thailand a few years ago. I hope this helps some of you, and if you ever need any advice, know I’m here for you... because I know how hard it can be! 🥰✨

Sikhi Game of love- LIVING "Truth his high, higher still is truthful living." Guru Nanak Dev Ji 1469-1539
Live the truth. The highest state of spirituality is only accessed once so begin to live your own life truthfully.
It's important we are always honest, speak, think and act upon the truth, we will be respected and loved more for this. Whilst speaking the truth our actions become righteous. We will see god in all and act against any form of oppression and falseness.
The reason a spiritual being does this is, they see god in all and find it difficult to turn their face away from the truth, as this would kill their consciousness and they would struggle to love god the same after being ignorant.
A great example of the above is, when The 9th Guru of the Sikhs gave his head to save the Hindu faith from conversion.
Do we live a truthful and spiritual life, or are we dishonest when it suits our needs? Every action and thought is accounted for.

We usually shy away from posts about veganism although I’m not sure why as it’s something we are both very passionate about 🌱
There is something that gets on my (much loved and treasured) goat more than anything else and surprisingly it’s not ‘oh I could never be vegan because I love cheese’ (that was me too!) or ‘yeah but avocados’ or ‘I only eat grass fed beef’ or ‘humane slaughter’ or even ‘free range chickens’. It is human beings making a conscious effort to use less plastic specifically to save the oceans but at the same time eating the fishes 🤯
How can you want to save something whilst simultaneously destroying it? It must be an education piece surely and when do the world authorities say enough is enough? In 2050 when the oceans are completely fucked? The other day someone asked why I was vegan to which I replied - for the sake of your children and the precious planet they live/will live on. ‘Ah ok but you eat fish right?’ Nope. Then I mentioned the hypocrisy of plastic and consumption of fish and she said that she doesn’t use plastic straws because they end up in the oceans and kill turtles and dolphins 🐬 .
Don’t get me wrong all changes are good changes when cutting down the use of plastic but if you really do want to help save the oceans and the planet for your children please be conscious of your consumption:
🐠 industrial fishing lines are up to 27 miles long
🎣 up to 50% of all plastic in the ocean is discarded fishing equipment
🦐 for every pound of shrimps caught, another 6 pounds of other species are discarded included turtles, seabirds and larger marine mammals too
The oceans, just like the rainforests are our lungs. Without them we cannot exist 💔
On a side note I read the other day that 73 million sharks A YEAR are killed for their fins 😥 .
Sharks, dolphins, prawns, sea horses, fishes, birds, pigs, cows, chickens, goats, ducks, dogs, baby lambs... so much blood on our hands 😥
This isn’t a pop at anyone BTW, we consumed meat and seafood consistently for 35 years. Just want to share our learnings 💚
P.S. Completely unrelated photo. Here I am enjoying a vegan kebab from @whatthepitta and it is delicious 😋

Som človek, to stačí... kľudne argumentujte, som zvyknutá na spŕšku otázok a protinazorov 😉 #plantonvegangurt#vegan#dnesjemvegan#fresh#fruit#budhabowl#raw#rawvegan#rawvegansofig#rawveganfood#rawvegans#rawveganism#glutenfree#celiac#eattherainbow#istagramfood#plantstory#planprotein#healthyfood#whole#vegculinamea#veg#veganjogurt

So the Amazon Rainforest (aka lungs of the earth) has currently been on fire for 3 weeks and barely anyone knows.
The smoke has reached cities that are thousands of miles away.
Animal agriculture is responsible for up to 91 per cent of the destruction of the Amazon rainforest.
The Amazon Rainforest makes up 20% of the worlds oxygen and we are destroying it for meat and letting it burn to pieces. 😞 and these are just a few of the horrifying facts. Share, make everyone aware and be keeping it in your prayers please ❤️

-1 teaspoon of dairy-free milk (if needed)
-Sugar (to roll)
-Berries (for decorating)
To make the doughnuts
Step 1- Place the warm dairy-free milk into a bowl and sprinkle over the yeast and sugar, stir, cover with a tea towel then put into a warm place for around 10-15 minutes until frothy.
Step 2- In a separate bowl, combine the flour & salt and stir.
Step 3- In another separate bowl, add in the melted dairy-free butter and vegan egg substitute.
Step 4- Combine the dry mixture, yeast mixture and egg mixture into a bowl and stir.
Step 5- Mix with a hand whisk or attach a dough hook to your stand mixer and begin to knead on medium until nice and smooth.
Step 6- Pop the dough into a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a tea towel and place into a warm area (I place mine in my conservatory) and allow to prove for around 2-3 hours or until double in size.
Step 7- Once doubled, turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll out until around 1/2 inch thick.
Step 8- Using a cookie cutter, cut out circles and place onto a lined baking tray.
Recipe continued in comments...
Heat oil in large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onion and jalapeño; sauté until tender, about 10 minutes. Add soy chorizo and cook until beginning to brown in spots, stirring often, about 5 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook beans in heavy small saucepan over low heat until heated through, stirring occasionally.
Stack 2 warm tortillas for each of 6 tacos. Spread scant 2 tablespoons beans over each stack. Top with soy chorizo mixture, dividing equally. Sprinkle with diced onion and cilantro.

For the past 7 1/2 weeks we've been caring for an additional 250+ pigs at Lighthouse as part of the PNW 250 Pig Rescue. All without paid staff and a small army of incredibly compassionate volunteers. The pigs are here temporarily as we work together with sanctuaries across the country to get them healthy and placed in forever homes. This has been by far the most stressful rescue we've ever been a part of. Heartbreak, frustration, tears, cuts, bruises - it's all worth it to see these amazing pigs have the happy life they deserve. This is what rescue is about! It's about taking risks and pushing yourself to the limit for the benefit of others. Although we will be adopting some ourselves, it is crucial that the majority of the pigs are rehomed by the end of September before the rainy season sets in. We have so many lovely pigs looking for a forever home! If you're interested in adopting a bonded pair, you can visit the link in our bio to fill out an application. You can also donate directly to the care of the PNW 250 pigs to help cover vital spays and enormous weekly food costs. .
And as always, your monthly support of Lighthouse is critical for the wellbeing of the 300 animals who call our sanctuary home. We are so grateful for every single one of you! ❤
1 cup AP flour
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp vegan butter, melted
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
Place a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. If you aren’t using non-stick, you may need to grease the pan. In a small bowl, stir together your unsweetened almond milk and apple cider vinegar and seta side for about 5 minutes. Next, add all ingredients to a large mixing bowl along with the almond milk/vinegar mixture and whisk together until your batter has formed. Be careful not to over-mix, a few lumps are okay. Pour about 1/3 cup of the batter per pancake onto your pan and fry until bubbles start to appear, then flip and cook the other side. Top your pancakes with fresh fruit, maple syrup, and some more vegan butter😊
