2) Feed a cow with 16 kg of grains to get 1 kg of meat and feed 2 persons.
My choice is 1). The only sustainable choice of the two.

THESE ARE THE MOST CLIMATE-DAMAGING FOODS 🌏
”Beef – Beef is widely recognized as the most climate-damaging of all foods. A 2017 study by the Natural Resources Defense Council on food consumption in the US calculates that each kilogram of beef produces 26.5 kilograms of CO2 emissions -- the highest among all the foods observed in the study, and five times more than chicken or turkey meat. Reducing beef consumption is an effective way of curbing global emissions. But why is beef so bad? "The feed is largely produced using lots of pesticide and fertilizer, which requires fossil fuels," explains Sujatha Bergen, one of the authors of the study. "Also, the digestive system of the cows produces methane, which is 25 times more potent a greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. And the manure emits additional greenhouse gases."
Lamb – For each kilo of lamb meat consumed, there are 22.9 kilos of emissions, the NRDC study estimates.
Meat production also requires large amounts of animal feed, mainly the resource-intensive corn and soy. The synthetic fertilizer and the manure used to grow these also releases nitrous oxide, a climate-warming pollutant 298 times more powerful than carbon dioxide.
Butter – The third most damaging food, by some distance, is butter: one kilo of butter equals nearly 12 kilos of CO2 -- about half as many as beef. It belongs to the same supply chain, making dairy and beef cattle an environmentalist's nightmare.
Shelllfish – Shellfish costs the environment 11.7 kilos of CO2 for every kilo of food produced, just marginally less than butter” - Source: www.CNN.org

Hemen hazırlanıyor, pratik oluyor.
Yanına da güzel bir çay demliyorum, ortaya zeytinli, yeşillikli kahvaltı salatası yapıyorum.
Akşam kahvaltısı tadında bir öğün oluyor.
Akşamları kahvaltı yapmayı da çok severim.

Ben kinoa kısırı 1’e 1,5 ölçüyle yapıyorum.
İçindeki malzemeler ise şöyleydi:
1 su bardağı kinoa,
1,5 su bardağı su,
1 yemek kaşığı biber salçası
1 tatlı kaşığı domates salçası
2 yemek kaşığı nar ekşisi
2 dal taze soğan, 2 diş sarımsak, taze nane, maydanoz, 3 yemek kaşığı limon, kimyon, sumak, acı pul biber, karabiber, tuz, mor lahana ve zeytinyağı.
Kinoaları iyice yıkadım.
2 saat suda beklettim.
Tekrar iyice yıkadım.
1 su bardağı kinoayı; 1,5 su bardağı soğuk su ekleyerek haşladım. Ilıyınca salçaları ekledim. Ben kısırda biber salçasını daha baskın seviyorum. Tahta kaşıkla karıştırdım. Diğer malzemeleri ince ince doğrayıp hazırladım. Nar ekşisi ve zeytinyağı dışında tüm malzemeleri ekledim.
En son zeytinyağı ve nar ekşisini ekleyerek karıştırdım.

It's been really warm today so didn't fancy cooking anything too elaborate for dinner. Step forward my old faithful @lindamccartneyfoods original sausages, new potatoes 🥔and salad🥗. 15 minutes, minimal time in the kitchen, tasty and healthy.

With all the devastating news of the burning of the Amazon rainforest, I find myself being drawn to spend even more time in our local forests. It always gives me such a sense of awe and beauty and is an essential part of my well being. The devastation of any forest is utterly heartbreaking. 😔💔🌲

VEGAN COCONUT SUMMER SALAD WITH @this.uk CHICKEN!! Super tasty, healthy, and fairly quick for a light summer supper... and low carb.. this serves two, or one, if you’re a piggy for veggies (and everything else...) like me 🐷
Discovered @this.uk two days ago and now I am obsessed- their meat alternatives are amaaaazing.
1. Cut up your butternut squash, into inch size chunks, cover in a wiiiiiddle bit of coconut oil, and 1tsp thyme and some salt to taste in a roasting tin. Then cook for 40 mins while you do everything else.
2. Heat 1tsp some coconut oil in a wok, and place 8 stalks of tender stem broccoli (which is the best broccoli ever, fight me) onto a low heat and occasionally stir for four mins, then add crescents shape pieces of half a courgette, and continue to stir fry until the courgette becomes golden. Then take the veg out of the wok and put aside on top of some kitchen roll.
3. In the same wok, toast 50 grams of desiccated coconut, then put aside.
4. Start to gently cook @this.uk chicken pieces according to instructions in the wok
5. Cut up two gem lettuces, and add 1tsp of oil, 1tsp of soy sauce, a smol splash of maple syrup, and the juice of half a lemon and toss with a vague aplomb. (Yeah, we getting sassy.) 6. Add the green veg and toasted coconut to the salad, along with the squash and chicken, the mixy mixy mix.
7. A couple of new things I’ve tried this week in small bits in case they were bad lol;
Firstly, cherry bakewell blondies and secondly peanut butter and chocolate cookie dough cups - gonna make the cups thiccer next time and then they’ll be even more delicious 😍
Hagelslag! How many of you have heard of or tried this?! It’s a traditional Dutch breakfast or lunch which is basically just chocolate sprinkles on bread and butter that is loved by kids and adults alike (apparently!). I’m not sure how many people pop out of their offices to eat chocolate sprinkles on toast for their business lunches but it was available in every single supermarket, and was on offer at our hotel breakfast, so someone must be eating it! There were lots of suitable for vegan versions available in the supermarkets but I didn’t get round to trying it. Has anyone indulged?! #veganamsterdam#veganholland

Save For Your Weekly Grocery List 📝⠀
1/4 cup chia seeds⠀
3/4 cup @califiafarms almond milk⠀
1/4 cup full-fat coconut milk⠀
1 tbsp shredded unsweetened coconut⠀
2 tbsp agave syrup⠀
1/2 tsp vanilla extract⠀
1 1/2 cups pineapple, chopped⠀
Whisk the chia seeds, almond milk, coconut milk, shredded coconut, agave syrup and vanilla extract together in a bowl.⠀
Let sit for 2 minutes then give it another whisk to make sure everything is combined.⠀
Cover and place the mixture in the fridge to set for at least an hour, or overnight.⠀
To prepare the pineapple puree, add the pineapple to a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.⠀
Spoon the chia pudding into the bottom of a cup or jar and top with the pineapple puree.⠀

(makes 2 servings)
1/4 cup chia seeds
1 cup oat milk
1 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla extract
Place all the ingredients in a jar and mix well. Mix few more times in the first 10 minutes to avoid lumps. Place in the fridge and let soak for one hour.
Matcha lime nice cream
3 frozen bananas
1 tsp matcha powder
juice of one lime
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.

Quinoa stuffed peppers by @nm_meiyee 💛 Delicious roasted peppers stuffed with so much goodness!
6 bell peppers, seeded
2 cups cooked quinoa
2 tbsp olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 carrot peeled and diced
90g baby corn, diced
90g green beans, diced
1/2 small onion diced
Salt and pepper to taste
Heat 2 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add carrots, onion, green beans, baby corn and garlic, and season with a generous pinch of salt and pepper. Saute for about 5 minutes or until the vegetables are soft. Increase heat to high, add the cooked quinoa and stir until combined. Continue stirring for an additional 1-2 minutes to fry the quinoa. Remove from heat.
To prepare the peppers, remove the "lids" of the 6 yellow peppers with a knife and also discard all the seeds. Fill the peppers with quinoa. Place the stuffed peppers into the prepared baking dish and bake at 180 for about 25-30 minutes or until the peppers are softened but not mushy

Japanese curry with Tofu Katsu and steamed Japanese Rice 🍛
(Makes 4 katsu)
2 240g blocks fresh extra firm tofu
1/2 tsp salt, or to taste*
Canola oil, for frying (*Note: feel free to adjust the seasoning as needed. I had mine with curry sauce, which was already flavorful so I didn’t want the dish to be too salty or anything)
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tbsp + 1 tsp cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup water
1 cup japanese breadcrumbs, or more as needed
1. Drain water from the tofu by wrapping them in paper towels and then placing a heavy flat surface (a board or plate) on top of each. Leave for 15 minutes until water has been absorbed by the towels.
2. Slice each tofu into two 3/4-inch thick square slabs. Sprinkle with salt as needed.
3. Prepare the batter by mixing all the ingredients until smooth. This will be a really thick batter. In another plate or tray, add the breadcrumbs.
4. Place each tofu in the batter then coat into the breadcrumbs. Repeat this step for the rest of the tofu.
5. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Once hot (you can test this by putting a little bread crumbs), add in the tofu. Fry for around 6-8 minutes over medium heat until golden brown. Take out of the oil then turn off the heat.
6. Let cool for 5-8 minutes then slice diagonally into strips.
