This is a workshop style Vinyasa Flow class for all levels, with some knowledge of yoga recommended. Each month will highlight a new peak pose that we'll work on each week to build up to your individual personal best💫. Each flow prepares the body for the Peak Pose, with workshop style assists and hands-on adjustments. After the Peak Pose, we move to Yin Yoga for rest and recovery until Shavasana.

Howdy peeps! Happy Monday everyone 😆 This week is a super busy one for me filled with clients, work, and meetings. Last week the full moon had my emotions on a wild ride, but I am ready to kill this week, hypothetically of course hehe 😋 No matter who you are or what you're going through remember you are a bad boss bish and keep that head up! .
It’s been a hot minute since I came on here with some deliciousness to share, but I’ve got some Ayurvedic smoothie bowl wisdom to give you today...
The key to optimal health according to Ayurveda is a strong digestive fire. Our ability to digest food, emotions and sensory impressions is the KEY to a ensuring we don’t create toxic build up in the body or mind.
Now, digestion actually starts in the mouth. When we chew our food it sets the stage for the rest of the digestive processes to take place effectively. It tells our body, “YO, there’s food coming!” -
So if you want to increase the digestibility of your smoothies and bowls, CHEW THEM! I like to make mine a little thicker by adding chia or flax seeds. They not only thicken them up, but increase the fibre which also helps digestion. DOUBLE THREAT!
The other thing that will help your digestion when it comes to smoothies is adding some spices! Ginger, cinnamon and cardamom generally speaking go with most smoothies. I throw them in in varying quantities depending on what I’m making.
This bowl is made with strawberry, banana, mango, almond milk, almond butter, chia seeds, a little bit of @profiprohealth protein powder, a little bit of ginger and cinnamon and a sprinkling of pumpkin seeds on top! -

When hosting a yoga retreat, my absolute favorite part is sitting back and watching everyone connect, share stories, laugh (and cry) throughout the week. Those who were once strangers are now bound together by the experiences, shared meals, yoga and meditation practices. It’s just magical! There are no words that describe the joy that fills my heart as I get to watch it all naturally unfold. I have a ton of gratitude towards my life’s work 🙏🏻 And, I a missing Tulum/ @holistikatulum today 🌿☀️✨
I needed this movement today. Some days it is more so than others. I had a feeling of “stuck” when I woke up. Hours went by and I allowed myself to feel this way- finally something struck that said - you need to be moving. I put the heat on and began my daily practice. Something is lifted from me everytime I am in my asana practice. Something released that gets stuck within my inner most being. Call it completely physically, call it whatever you want- I need this practice daily. It allows me to feel motivated throughout my day, it inspires me to keep making deep connections with those around me. I don’t know where I would be without yoga, as my body allows me to move I will keep up this daily devotional practice for myself. If you too have those moments of no creativity of just feeling unmotivated and stuck I encourage you to find an asana yoga practice, the release is worth the dedication. Depression and anxiety are so real and the movement of yoga is triumphant in those dark moments ++++++++++++++ @yogavibez_edgewater

Aglione lattofermentato ❤️ Un aglio gigante originario della Valdichiana totalmente privo di allicina ( un composto solforganico responsabile del caratteristico odore dell’aglio), dal sapore dolciastro e altamente digeribile ➡️ le dosi per la salamoia sono sempre le solite 1 l d’acqua in cui scioglierete 30 gr di sale ➡️ l’aglione è molto pregiato e costoso, io ne ho utilizzate 4 teste ( sono circa 500 gr) che ho pulito e inserito in un barattolo in vetro da 750 ml, dimezzando la salamoia ➡️ ho chiuso ermeticamente, lasciando fermentare per almeno 2 settimane ( io prolungherò sicuramente ad un mese) ➡️ ovviamente potete usare comune aglio se non avete a disposizione l’aglione

Directly proceeding yet another amazing #rootsveganfest , showcasing all kinds of vegan noms, and my darling mother making the trip up to surprise me, we took the party next door to one of my fav restaurants of all time to try out their new seasonal summer menu.
🌯 Summer Crisp: sautéed seasonal truffled mushrooms, garlic spinach, cashew goat cheese, roasted potatoes and balsamic-beet purée rolled in crisp phyllo dough, served on a bed of fresh arugula and pistachio-mint pesto
🦀 Crab Cake Platter: hearts of palm crab cake on a bed of roasted corn-potato hash, arugula and green beans with toasted almonds, topped w/ red pepper horseradish aioli and micro greens
Both were absolutely incredible. I’ve made it a point over the years to try each season’s “crisp,” and I have to say this may be my fav. That pesto and “goat cheese” in there put me over the edge. YOU MUST TRY. 😍
Yippee! It’s the #wegiftyouchallenge I haven’t done a yoga challenge since I got pregnant so I am so excited to jump back into something I love! My practice isn’t near where it used to be but here goes nothing! Today’s pose is free. I chose tree pose nursing my 2 month old lil guy. I feel like this represents freedom for so many reasons! I am free to be ME, imperfectly perfect at every stage of my life and my practice. I am FREE to nurse my little guy whenever and wherever I want to knowing I am doing something amazing for his tiny body. I am FREE to take my practice wherever I want and modify it to meet me where I am today. I am FREE to love and raise these kiddos as best I can, setting good examples for them like the practice of yoga! I am FREE 💙 To share this journey with all of you

This morning I awoke to a comment about last week’s episode of my podcast @yogaisvegan . It was interesting timing because my husband and I were talking about something along the same lines this weekend. Her comment was to the issue that I had mentioned to my guest that he looked amazing for his age (67) due to his vegan diet. We had also talked about him initially going off dairy as an experiment to see if his allergies would go away which they did. Now my guest is a healer and has studied extensively about healing with herbs and food. The person who reached out to me mentioned that she still had allergies a few years after going vegan and that some of her relatives who aren’t vegan look great due to her genes. This is all true. Not everyone on a vegan diet is healthier or looks better and not all vegan food is good for you. In fact while it’s a win for the animals that there are vegan versions of almost foods these days, a lot of them aren’t good for you. Processed food isn’t as healthy as a whole food and some vegan foods cause allergies and inflammation for people. I can’t personally have a harder time with wheat, some corn and certain oils. Once upon a time vegan was synonymous with healthy because the only available food out there was real whole food. In our modern times we now need to be educated about the food we eat. I find that the more I focus on the subtle nature of food, its history and energetic qualities, the more I discover how to heal, feel better and grow strong. Happy weekend! I’m currently very busy in my private life but am enjoying it anyway, because at the end of the day it’s me that’s choosing how I spend my free time. Also, I know that there’ll be a more quiet time very soon!✨
Freizeit könnte so entspannend sein, wären da nicht die ganzen privaten Termine, Verabredungen und to do’s. Aber gerade würde ich das alles nicht tauschen wollen, es kommen sicherlich auch wieder ruhigere Zeiten. Am Ende des Tages liegt es ja in unserer Hand, unsere Freizeit mit Dingen zu füllen, die uns Spaß machen und gut tun - die Mischung macht’s.

I’m taking it extra slow on my mat these days because my days are busy and filled with to-do‘s. But it’s the last week of work before a few weeks of vacation so I’m already looking forward to also slow down when I’m off the mat. What’s your favorite way to slow down?
Momentan lasse ich es in meiner Yogapraxis extra ruhig angehen, da meine Tage voll sind mit Aufgaben, die ich erledigen muss. Aber diese Woche ist die letzte, bevor ich für einige Wochen frei habe. Deshalb freue ich mich schon jetzt darauf, es bald auch im Alltag wieder ruhiger angehen zu lassen.
