🇻🇳 🌿🍃🌱🌴🌳⛴🛶🚁🛥 “Halong Bay is a beautiful natural wonder in northern Vietnam near the Chinese border. The Bay is dotted with 1,600 limestone islands and islets and covers an area of over 1,500 sqkm. This extraordinary area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. For many tourists, this place is like something right out of a movie. The fact is that Halong Bay features a wide range of biodiversity, while the surrealistic scenery has indeed featured in endless movies.” •

Tran Quoc Pagoda is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, being as old as 1500 years. The 11-level pagoda has seen all kinds of changes throughout the years, for instance, it has been renamed from An Quoc to Tran Quoc. The long history of pagodas reflects the long history of Buddhism in Vietnam. Did you know, that according to Buddhism, the sound of the pagoda bell is the sound of intellectuality since it awakens people's minds? 🏯

This portrait is the perfect example of how a beautiful moment can happen when you least expect it. In 2013, I was in Meo Vac, photographing children when I happened to notice this H’Mong lady light up her pipe. I asked her if she could make more smoke and, surprised by my unexpected question, she started laughing. This woman’s clothing and headdress along with her long wooden pipe give a view into the vibrant colors and traditions of the tribal people.
2015 I came back to find her to offer the photo and some help from my Giving Back Project.
I hope to meet her again next month during my trip in the North of Vietnam. .

📍Golden Bridge, Da Nang, Vietnam 🇻🇳 [English Below]
A place always appearing in Instagram, and it is obvious why. When we published our first picture here most of you asked us how we manage to be alone. Ok, the only thing we made was WAIT for a long time!!! It was a very cold and cloudy day, we got there and couldn’t see anything. So we decided to enjoy our day around the park hoping we would be able to see it at some point. At sunset time most people had already left because it was freezing 🥶 and we were there, clouds were gone and we were less than 10 people around!!! Sometimes you just need to wait for the best things to happen! ~
