I spent most of life believing I was a victim of my reality. That I had no control over what the government does, what my boss did, what my family does, on and on... The day I took radical responsibility for my life, that all began to change.
I have a responsibility in everything that happens even if it’s o my my RESPONSE to the situation or person.
Your response or reaction can change an outcome completely!
It’s another Sunday and this #WeeklyQuickie addresses something that I think is important in every relationship. One thing that would never go out of style is appreciation, so whether you’re a boss saying a few words of encouragement to the staff you pay, or you’re celebrating a mentor, never lose sight of the fact that people we interact with (especially those who are partners in executing a vision), have made that choice to do what they do.
So thanking the security man at the gate for opening the gate for you, or honoring a speaker who has blessed you are necessary. In the same way, allow people celebrate you for exercising your gifts and you may even reward yourself for reaching milestones. Just don’t get too carried away that you lose sight of the vision. Every leader, in fact, every organization or ministry or structure, should be guided by a vision.
This week, let’s be intentional about honouring ALL men, especially those in seemingly ‘inferior’ positions.
Working on a chapter in a upcoming book project with my father who was recently released from serving a “Life without Parole” sentence. The book is going to be a game changer! •
Just started a chapter discussing my wife. She says that I asked her for her number and she rejected me prior to us dating. Of course, I don’t recall this. Either way, we’re 10 Years married, so now what?! Haha! •
I remember when I decided to marry her while still in college. I visited my dad and convinced him and my mom that she was the one. He had no choice but to green light it. Even behind bars, my dad has always been someone I can turn to. He fought to work on himself and it change the course of my life. •
Can’t wait to share the many layers and layers of our story. It’s going to be epic!

The 2;24 Unit - Mission Statement:
What is the #vision or mission of your marriage? Do you both just wake up each day and wonder what life and love has in store for you, or do you have a statement that identifies who you are as a 2-as-1 team? Lots of time who we each think of as a married partner doesn't match what the other one thinks. Often, the #marriage doesn't match up in reality to what you think it is in your imagination.
You are both going to have to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. No marriage is perfect, and the best of them involve two #people who refuse to give up on themselves, each other and their marriage. But, just like the best of LE agencies, there has to be a foundational plan. This structure will benefit your marriage when those tough times come. Trust us, they will come.
