Cologne is another gem I missed on my whirlwind tour of Europe last year, as many do. Cologne prides itself on being more relaxed and fun-loving than other German towns, and also on its local beer, Kolsch, which is drunk in excessive quantities.
There is a very Berlin vibe to it, with plenty of street art, street libraries, and this crazy scrapyard turned sculpture park / beergarden where we stumbled into a dope hip hop gig! Just be sure to get out of the 'old' town and explore some of the neighbourhoods, or 'veedels'. . #streetart#cologne#colognegraffiti#köln#kölnstagram#alternativetravel#europetrip#ehrenfeld#visitcologne#shetravels#theculturetrip
Having a #throwbackthursday moment with this photograph of Pablo Picasso, shot by Roberto Otero. The Argentinian journalist, writer and photographer Roberto Otero (1931-2004) was introduced to Pablo Picasso by mutual acquaintances and they remained close friends from 1960 until the artist’s final years. Otero was an inside observer of the artist’s mature period full of energy and good humour. This image is part of our Photography Collection.

Please don’t stand on the first picture (of course you've seen it thousands insta~times in the past) Go to the next photos . These buildings few meters further are also part of the city. Cologne is a wonderful town full of life, and cool alternative residents. Graffiti on the walls of many and usually old buildings are real amazing artworks with political hints. I'll post, some of these days here or in my insta~ stories. My goal in Cologne was to find the historic graffiti for the “Edelweißpiraten” 👨🏻🎤👩🏻🎤 at the Ehrenfeld train station. Of course it was not difficult. I will refer to it in one of the following posts , Many hugs from Germany ♥️💫🐥🎈
