The African Water Crisis:
Over the past 50 years, although making progress in the right direction, it has become prevalent to people across the world that much of Africa’s population struggles to drink clean water.
Specifically Sub-Sahara African people are dependent on dirty drinking water. According to scientists, 40% of accessible in Sub-Saharan Africa transmits viruses and diseases. 3.4 million deaths are estimated to occur just because of water related diseases each year.
Not only does this water spread illness, it also is a major cause for poverty. Sub-Saharan Africa is the most impoverished place on Earth, partially due to lack of clean water and water close by. The level of development of these countries is extremely low, as the people cannot focus on improving their lives drastically when they fight to survive everyday. As you might have the luxury to run 4 miles in the morning before work, African woman are on average walking 4 miles to find water, and 4 miles back (with an extra 50 pounds on their head), just to provide their villages with a day’s worth of clean water.
How you can help is donating to REAL organizations, as well as raise awareness about this problem with people you know. Social media is a huge part of our lives, so why not use it to save others. Donated water can go to bringing clean water in or to dig wells next to villages so people don’t have to walk for hours for something we can get instantaneously. 🌎PLEASE SHARE WITH OTHERS🌍 #africawatercrisis#cleanwater
A future segment will be about the South Africa (Cape Town) water crisis, where the country could possibly run out of water in a few months.
Felt weightless today ✨
This guy has been encouraging an embracing of myself for as long as I’ve known him. He’s always wanted me to speak up and out and refuses to let me shrink small. I’m thankful to have found a partner in this life who thinks highly of the woman, the femme, the fluid, the seen, and will never let me forget my original self. I’ve learned so much and continue to be influenced by him. I am here to encourage and give as much as I am receiving. Also, we went for a walk today and found a baby snake. It was a beautiful day.
Happy Sunday Loves! Hope you’ve all had a fantastic weekend enjoying this lovely sunshine ⛰☀️! I’ll be taking my 🥾 to work and heading out afterwards! .
