Great result this week
I managed to go for 4 runs this week and fasted daily with 16hrs being my shortest.
Good to know I still have that drive in me that I had 2yrs ago...

Trouble with Labeling Food as 'Good' Or 'Bad'
When food is given a value or judgment, we begin to feel like we are that value for consuming it. We view kale as good and ice cream as bad which means if I eat kale I am a worthy person but if I eat ice cream I am a failure. Doesn't this sound silly when laid out that way? As silly as it may be, I, and many others, struggle with this pattern of thought.
Throughout my journey, I am learning that I should never place my worth on what food I am eating.
Learning to see food as neutral translates to food not be rated or placed in boxes in our minds; it means food has no charge, whether it be positive or negative, food merely exists.
Seeing food as neither good nor bad takes tons of practice but it is absolutely possible to obtain. Each time your eating disorder makes you believe the food you are about to eat is "bad," stop for a moment, breathe, and re-frame.
Ask yourself questions such as:
* Why am I eating this food?
* Why should I deprive myself of the food my body is asking for?
* Are there any emotions I am experiencing that are causing me to base my worth on what I am eating?
Questions such as these can help you gain back control from your eating disordered mind. Remember, if we listen to the cues and desires of our body we are a lot less likely to engage in binging behavior.
When food no longer contains such a large charge to it and can be seen simply as the nourishment our body needs, you will feel even more freedom from your eating disorder.

Tonight's snack, apple rings Nd a @lindahls_nederland to dip them in. Very tasty. And my love of a kitchen gadget went down well, apple corer and a mandolin sliced. Makes a fab snack. Forgot to photo dinner. Used the @icelandfoods slimming world casserole mix to make Cumberland pies and served with cabbage. Super tasty
CHEESEBURGER PIZZA 🍔🍕-
Had a couple left over burgers and no buns but found I had some weight watchers wraps so decided to make a cheeseburger style pizza like the dominos one 🤤 made using my own pizza sauce fried 2 beef burgers, onions and peppers. Added gherkins and 30% less fat cheese used both (hxa&hxb) side salad with Caesar dressing (0.5)

So last night was my once a year trip out in to town, when I was overweight I used to hate having to get ready trying to find clothes that I didn’t look too fat in! Still hate having to try find something to wear even after loosing weight. Went through all my clothes,was happy with what I decided in the end but took me an hour!! Yes I felt great in it and yes I had a great night. I found a yoga app that I think I am going to love to add to my tiny arsenal of yoga practice. I have been in a strange place mentally and physically. My brain is doing its usual bullshit and my body is, temporarily, negatively responding to the changes and slip ups in my eating habits.
I worked on some scheduling and personal finance budgeting yesterday for both my personal and professional growth, cleared out my fridge and cabinets, and spent the rest of my short weekend in a haze of loneliness and a heavy sugar withdrawal malaise from a carb and sugar slip up yesterday. 20 minutes of yoga helped though. 🧘🏼♀️
I’m in awe of how much love my body has been showing me over the last week. I’ve been adding in some simple, easy morning routines and it’s amazing how much better you feel when you start nourishing your body!
Don’t get me wrong, I had a BLAST in Nashville this week celebrating with my new friends. But I haven’t been waking up feeling bloated, yucky and disappointed in how I ate earlier. I AM OVER THAT!
I’ve been waking up with so much energy, and it’s been lasting through my shifts. (Thank goodness for e+shots during my nightshifts!) I am FINALLY making myself and my body a priority today and everyday. I didn’t think it was possible to feel this different in such a short amount of time, but that’s what you get when you have people to love on you and food that nourishes you.
I am so proud of the progress I’ve made in the last few weeks, but I’m even more excited for the community I’ll be creating here in Columbus! I would love to have your support as I embark on this new journey! Cheers to a better ME🌸

I look at that kid on the left and I just think “dang if only you knew how much you can really do...” Just took putting down the pizza and video games and realizing that it wasn’t my disability or my circumstances that stopped me from being who I wanted to be. It was just me... It was being willing to stop thinking and start doing. It’s that simple. Stop thinking about what you want and just take a step towards it. It doesn’t happen overnight. I wish haha. But as you start on the path, you form habits and slowly start thinking differently. Then you get to the point where you want to make those right choices cuz you see what happens when you do! And then you just keep chasing that feeling of success💯😤
My Journey is farrrr from over and i’m 2 years deep into making those first steps and honestly probably will be a lot more time before i’m where I want to be but I’m grateful for those first steps everyday...
Love you all for supporting me through it all. Making these steps a whole lot easier and hope to do that for you all someday🙏🏼🖤

1 whole medium/large chicken – approx 1-1.2kg – jointed by butcher – ask nicely
1 red onion – sliced
3 garlic cloves – finely sliced
3 medium sweet potatoes – cut into wedges
2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp cumin seeds – freshly ground
1 tsp ground ginger
1. Preheat oven to 200c.
2. Line an oven tray with greaseproof paper. Add the sweet potatoes, garlic and red onion to tray. Spread out evenly.
