Being self-motivated is critically important. Far too often people sit back waiting for someone else to give them a reason to get up and get going. If you want to make something of your life you absolutely have to become your own motivating factor. You have to be the one to take the initiative to make something happen! Determination may be the hardest step. It is impossible to stay motivated and positive if you don’t have determination. Determination is what will get you through when days are tough. Determination is what gives you that extra energy to find a way past your hurdles. The best way I find to stay determined is to not allow my mind to even consider that my goals won’t happen. The moment we let our mind formulate a plan B we have subconsciously given up on our plan A, so I stick with plan A and force myself to get it done. #staydetermined .

As long as our current District Attorney remains in office we will continue to have a Criminal INjustice System.
What our District Attorney will not tell you is that she had the cases against two powerful actors --charged for Official Oppression in 2015-- dimissed in 2017. These Powerful Actors inserted their fingers into a young woman's vagina in search of a piece of marijuana.
Be proud of yourself 💛

Are you showing up every day for your business? Comment ’Yes’ if you are. 👇🏼🙌🏼
Success doesn't motivate me as much as integrity does. Everyone loses. I enjoy the pressure of showing up every single day, being focused, putting forth my best effort, getting the best out of my teammates, and enjoying the journey.
Who else? 🙋♀️🏻

One thing I've learned is to never block someone else's blessing. Right after my divorce, I was at work (at a Christian bookstore, which if you knew me, you'd get a kick out of) and one of my regular customers picked out her items like she always did and asked me a bunch of questions...like she always did. She was a frail old lady that took her bible wherever she went. •
She knew I was newly single with two littles ones but I was okay. I had enough money to cover bills and rent and that's always been good enough for me (at that point in life). Out of nowhere, she pulls out a one hundred dollar bill and tries to hand it to me. •
I declined. Number one, I didn't need it. Two, she needed it more than I did. Three, I wasn't used to receiving. Four, it caught me off guard. •
The look she gave me reminded me of my own grandmother when I was a kid getting a talkin' to. "Girl, don't you be blockin' my blessings because you don't want yours. Take it." •
I took the money. I wrote about her in my bible when I got home that night. I think about Maxine often. She was full of lessons and love. Maxine had a big ol' heart. •
